Shark of the skies! Had the privilege of flying the lady, thanks to an amazing instructor who shall remain nameless, when he had to move from coolangatta airport to Brisbane int. And OMG! even after all these years she is THE most forgiving, sensitive and enjoyable to fly. Without a doubt she will FOREVER be my mistress 😍

You know the crazy thing is airwolf was a gray and white? The owner of the chopper said it was a dark metallic gray and white, like wolf fur, that along with the hidden weapons gave it the wolf in sheeps clothing style hence the name airwolf. ....if i could make airwolf a realty id give it a stealth black and navy blue, then title it black wolf (a better more deadly version if the black hawk)

They really need to make more of these helicopters because they are safe, fast, and could be used over seas. There alot faster than the Apache helicopter and more importantly fast.
@brentholt14586 жыл бұрын
The 222s had significant issues with maintenance and about 25% of the fleet was lost to accidents. They were not faster than the Apaches.

@vincef.5378 Yes, so I heard. Did the changing into the 230 make it safer?

all airwolf was was a bell 222 that had been modified, an AF general said he's gonna try to build a version of airwolf. ... he said theoretically if you put polymer blades on the top and attach them directly to the body and take the main rotor pipe off and take the two blade tail rotor off and put a 10 blade enclosed rotor on the back for the body would go around it (like the rah-66 commanche) then make it to where the jet engines would be like a regular jet and accelerate gradually (instead of launching it directly to high speeds) you could get it close to Mach 1 speeds..... plus you would have to do some regular body work for pressurizing it, so the pilots and crew could handle that speed. That'd have to be researched as well. the only major problem would be the weight of any extra computerized equipment they stuck in the back.

This 'helo', looks like a Bell 222, that was used in a couple of episodes of "The A-Team". In particular, part one of a two part episode, that saw the team being hired to rescue the daughter of a judge who was presiding over a case, that would send a gangster to prison.

@@ojsefgSame type of helicopter. Ironically the airwolf two named redwolf in season 3 was just a a stock bell 222 with the side windows covered and it was ment to be faster, and more advanced in every way over the the original. Even though the idiot pilot designed it he still didn't have the skill to use it.
