One of the big challenges on some choppers is that as you pull up on the collective you need to adjust the throttle to give it the extra fuel it needs for what you want it to do - but better equipped choppers have a device that pretty much does it for you. Flying a helicopter is far more challenging in its basics than a fixed wing plane. For instance, as you pull up on the collective you need to adjust your pressure, left or right on the foot pedals or the bird will turn.

Always wondered if the pedals were "push left=yaw left" or.... "push left to turn right (like a push cart might have)", kinda hoped it was the latter. Could imagine being in *right* seat with left hand on a (central) collective.... twisting throttle towards me for more power... with right hand on the cyclic between the legs. Now I realise thats pretty much all wrong lol Gotta get me head changed up into....*left seat* and "push in direction you want to face.... roll throttle away from you for power(?)"
