@PavelKorsunUkraineTours Жыл бұрын

@PavelKorsunUkraineTours Жыл бұрын

That was a very fun build to watch! Obviously! Very well planned. And you had the right people to do the job 👍🏼 I wish I could have been part of the assembly crew. Kept wondering if that torque being applied was correct per the manufacturers drawings and specs. And I would not use a torque wrench as a “ratchet”! Run the bolt down with a RATCHET! You know how far you can go. Then! Use the torque wrench! Using a torque wrench implies that you want consistency and standardization. If you treat it as a “ratchet”, you comprise the accuracy of the torque!

if you are buying a helicopter, money is not exactly the bottom line factor. sure, a deal is a deal, but everyone knows that its going to cost you. if you want a similar end game, get a gyro plane or copter (its a play on words). much more economical end game. same general rush. much much more forgiving in an engine failure. $ 150,000 puts you in a side by side enclosed two seater type Cadillac of gyro's. you don't need avgas and still can buy a lot of it for the $850,000 you saved in the initial purchase.

@PavelKorsunUkraineTours8 жыл бұрын
Hi, thank you for your comment. The cheapest way to deliver Robinson from USA to Europe is by ship and it cost around 6000 - 7000 USD per container that is good to accommodate 2 helicopters per delivery. Also the customer could take assembled helicopter from Robinson Helicopters Company and fly to Europe by the helicopter - like half of helicopter circumnavigation. Hello David Monks! Right now in Kiev there are 4 helipads with different fees for take-off-landing and helicopter hangar storage. Do you plan to fly by your Robinson R22 next year 2017 in Kiev? Pavel Korsun, Kiev helicopter guide, ukraine-kiev-tour.com

Hi Pavel, Im not sure what the situation with flying in Ukraine is at the moment for me. Last time it took permissions from your CAA. Anyway Challenge aero were very helpful and have a very nice facility next to the river. Is Valery still there or did he go? Oh and nice video of your R66 :)
@PavelKorsunUkraineTours8 жыл бұрын
Hello David Monks! You are right - Challenge Aero has one of the best helipads in Kiev near Dnieper River just 10 minutes drive from Kiev city center. Not sure about Valery - Anna and Albina are in organization service and Sergey Nikiforov still manage his Kiev helipad. Thank you for the comment about the video about R66 - it was made a year ago and now has more than 69 000 views) It was created for promotional and educational goals. A lot of pilots and other youtube viewers like it very much! If one day you plan to fly to Ukraine - please, let me know. Pavel Korsun, Kiev helicopter guide, ukraine-kiev-tour.com
