How incredibly useful for understanding the complex dynamics of a helicopter swashplate assembly. Thank you very much sir.

AS A MECHANIC , I HAVE HAD A LOT OF BEARING EXPERIENCE , THOSE SPHERICAL BEARINGS , OR THE BALL THAT THE BLADE GETS IT'S UP DOWN MOTION , SEIZE UP REALLY FAST WHEN WET . THEIR NOT GENERALLY USED FOR THIS TYPE OF LOAD . GIANFRANCO FRONZI SEPTEMBER

I don't think this model actually works. You've obviously controlled pitch for use with the collective, but I don't think it would work with the cyclic. Your swash plate can't swivel because of the control rods pivoting on only on axis on each end, and at 90 degrees to each other. Fancy and impressive looking, just don't think it would work.

Oops... Sorry the time I left to answer your question... I forgot to check my messages related to youtube. I used AutoCAD only of modeling, and after that I exported the parts (3DS format) to 3D Studio Max and build an (very) simple kinematics for the blades. At that time was the only thing I knew using 3D Studio Max... Now we have more realistic videos avaliable, check the video "AS-350 Blade Flapping with Starflex (Flappeggio con sistema Starflex)", (the user is @LokiTreddi). Best regards,

@shanepb1994 Good thing pilots don't do the mechanical work lol. You could go up and down, and do pretty little circles with this, but no lateral movement.

Thanks!! Now chech this other video: Title: "AS-350 Blade Flapping with Starflex (Flappeggio con sistema Starflex)" This is the simulation of a rotor that a have seen!!! This was made using Softimage XSI. @LokiTreddi did somenthig I ever tried using 3D Sutdio Max and Kinematics solutions!! Best regards, Márcio
