That's a lot of faith in a single piston engine. Low-level autorotations in an R-22 are sporty over open terrain, due to so little energy being stored in the rotor system as it's very lightweight. Not to mention the drive belts... but at least there are two of those. The R-22 has great value as a trainer, and even a working aircraft, but low-level urban tours just aren't its mission profile.

The low level flight over the beach was not for our benefit but what got us through the LAX class B. If you track this company's helicopters, you will see that this is their agreement with LAX tower over and over.
