When I had 14 I "invented" the same machine...Few years later I knew it needs some more things - for ex. teetering hinge, collective control and rudder...

@seanscott722 . Dear Sean, Great to know that you fly trikes with only your arms. I am a trike pilot too. We are planning to develop a 2 - place trike with a Wankel Engine developed in our laboratory. I will keep you posted on the progress of the Helitrike. Regards Ram Pai

With this wieght shift trike, the engine HAS to be on top and move with the rotor drive etc theres no other way of doing it, but its top heavy and will topple easy

No more a weight shift aircraft than any other helicopter or autogiro. This machine has proper cyclic control.

Dr. Ram, I can not tell from the video. Are the rotors rigid or semi-rigid teetering underslung? Waht control forces are yu feeling? They look light. Response time? What is your project's current status?

As the name says, Helitrike. but trikes are wight shift flying machines. with this one there might be stability issures as the engine is fitted too high.

@vedulji Hello Viraf, Yes we could do with more power, but we could manage with this for the time being. Not yet gone to full throttle in untethered flight as yet. Look forward to meeting you soon. Regards Ram Pai

По-моему сильно разнесён центр тяжести , из-за двигателя , надо ближе к оси винтов , будет легче управлять , не благодарите (мишаерт) 🤔

I wish to know how are foot pedals connected and how does it work with coaxial helicopter.. can you explain or make a video on it please..
@cameronlapworth2284
@cameronlapworth2284 Жыл бұрын
Foot pedals are turning the rudders which re-direct thrust from the rotors, you don't have adverse yaw as the rotors counter rotate so you don't need much re-directed thrust to give yaw control.

Hello did you build the gear box and coaxial rotor system yourself? Or do you have plan from it or the address to buy only the rotor system??

Mr.Ram Pai, I am sorry to say that neither the trike nor the powered hang glider are as complicated and confusing as your prototype. Your machine also needs wheels. Otherwise you may soon tip over while testing your invention. The main problem with your machine is not the shortage of ideas, but the inherent lack of stability.

It is a concept, you have to improve and progress, you have a good rotor, the gyrocopetro concept with double helix works as you have it, but with a smaller horizontal thrust propeller, it would be like a helicopter without a tail rotor and maybe auto -I turn if you achieve a good speed.Good luck to you, I will be watching your progress.

I cant understand why he built the craft so high, it must be about 10ft top to bottom, being lower less likley to topple over, plus the handling and storage and wieght issue.....Peter

I'm fairly certain that I know where the name for this build came from. As you can clearly see this poor man is scared as hell to fly this machine and it looks like a trike. Need I say more. Also he is tall so its built to match his height then he doesn't have to bend over to work on it. Sir, I cannot understand the reasoning behind placing most of the weight above the center of balance. I sincerely hope that you are able to fly It and not be injured in the process.

It does not work, in the trike with a hang glider, the wing receives the impact of the air that keeps it flying, that force is adverse to the weight of the aircraft, that makes the wing easy to handle, even once flying you can remove your hands and she adjusts herself to continue flying alone, in this device that does not happen, you will spend all the time balancing the rotor, to keep flying, this is an odyssey for the pilot, it is very unstable, you must use a cane control and lower the center of gravity, the tail should never be stuck on the rotor, the tail is attached to the trike and is fixed, the rotor being lighter is easily manageable
