The next stage of Helium takes it beyond the IOT network that had a tremendous amount of growth in under 3 years (2019-2022). The next foray into decentralized wireless brings us to cellular technology. Specifically, Helium is attempting to supplement the existing telco networks by providing small cells in areas where coverage is sparse or it does not make financial sense for the big telcos to deploy (too expensive). In exchange, those who purchase the Helium hardware and maintain the infrastructure are rewarded with MOBILE tokens. MOBILE tokens will be eligible to be traded for HNT in the future but the conversion rate is not currently known. In the mean time, I'm having fun earning MOBILE tokens!

Thanks Joe. I’ve got a buddy that owns 2 coffee shops, so that’s the plan for now (and hopefully the roaming agreements with the big telcos will come to fruition in the coming years). Decided to buy because I believe in the long term value decentralized wireless, and specifically Helium, will command over the next 10 years.

Thanks Anibal! Yes, I removed my Sensecap miner from this location and relocated it since the FreedomFi gateway also mines HNT using LoRa.

I assume you are referring to the LoRa antenna only right (since you said mine HNT)? If so, then yes you can probably add those if you already have them. I personally haven't spent money on amps and filters.

Sorry to hear that. Batch 2? Which manufacturer did you buy from? Depends on how saturated your location is, but smaller towns and cities are still promising.

@@NorTexMining It is a Pycom. I still haven't collected from drop point. Think I will and take it to my relatives place in a regional area then (100k pop in city centre spot).

@@martianvideo in that case, it sounds like it’s better to get it setup and earning for you as soon as possible. Pycom hotspots are lower cost so hopefully with a good spot you can break even in about 9-12 months. You kept your costs low, now keep your spirits high until the next bull market in crypto. Hello, pardon me I am trying to fully understand this, I just bought 3 radios and a miner, but does this coverage of 5g that helium is offering will get rewards from every simple person that gets in its range I mean like what carriers will use helium 5g at this moment I have understood it is just T-mobile at the moment, so lets say that up to now we will get rewards from T-mobile costumers only and helium 5g phone service and as carriers add up to the helium 5g network rewards will add up? correct me if I am wrong. No, right now (Genesis period) the only rewards you will get will be for having your miner + 3 radios online. There will be speed tests as well starting next week to ensure your Quality of Service meets the requirements (100 down, 10 up, 50ms latency or better). Afterwards, mappers and Helium Mobile customers will come by your setup and validate you are providing coverage, and both parties will earn rewards. The more data that flows through your miner and antennas, the more MOBILE you will earn. You will not get rewards for T Mobile customers connecting to your radios because the partnership agreement is for Helium Mobile customers to roam onto TMobile when there's no Helium 5G hotspots available (not the other way around). I will do a full video explainer on this as there's been a lot of confusion.

The wan light was green and today turned off I changed the cable and still same problem the wan is not green can I change to second port ,I didn't get mobile token reward today.

Hop on the discord for troubleshooting help. It looks like Moso labs outdoor radios were having issues like you are describing, was yours a Moso labs radio? If you have a FF, There is no second WAN port on the small cell, and no I would keep it going from eNB1 (on your gateway) to WAN (on your small cell). Try a power cycle on everything and let me know if that works.

Sorry to hear you feel like you should have waited. You can potentially find another location for your Bobcat 300. It’s a pain; I know first hand, but it’s worth it if you can get a good location. Best of luck
