Cracking sound! Never saw many Comptons as I was stuck in the midlands but did see a video of one at Coventry so they got under the wires. Love the Comma BR van, right in my period!

This is my favourite in this collection of runnng videos mate with the HST coming a close second. 33's, there's something about them, one of my favourite locos. Superb weathering finish & a nice sound file. thumbs up on all of the vid's from me 👍

Thanks John , can’t take the credit for the weathering on this one, it’s a friends 33 and I think it’s done by the weathering works , I’ve just fitted biffs V4 sound and a double tablet speaker to give it a bit of bass , cheers Darrell

Hi Darrell, your 33 sounds great. I also have Bif's sound in my Heljan 33 purchased recently but i found that the engine idling sound is on all the time when coasting say at scale 30mph speed, which i dont think is prototypical. Did you adjust any of the CVs on yours? Cheers. Vivian.

Hi Vivian, thanks very much for the comments, I thought the same but didn’t know any better, it’s a friends 33 and he’ll only be running on a TMD layout, I’ll be interested to see how it runs on that as the only cv’s I’ve changed are the acceleration, de acceleration, mid speed and top speed to suit running on my layout 🤭

Hi Vivian, I’ve got those cv settings for you, I’ve put both the zimo and ESU for both 33’s Heljan 33 cv’s 33035 NSE Zimo Digitrains cv2 sv 001, cv3 acc 060, cv4 dec 060, cv5 max 120, cv6 mid 120, D6579 BR Blue ESU Legoman cv2 sv 001, cv3 acc 080, cv4 dec 080, cv5 max 140, cv6 mid 070, They seem to work okay but hope it helps in some way, cheers Darrell
