WOW man! Absolute magic. Cinematic style indeed. Massive effort in filming and editing mate. Loved all the different scenery and work sites, the kindling section at the end with the music made me think of Apocalypse Now for some reason! Epic. And congrats on 100 subs. Thanks for the effort mate👍👍👍

Thanks for watching buddy, I enjoyed making this one. I guess the Apocalypse Now feel comes from the chopper that came by while I was recording. Gotta rewatch this movie now :D Cheers !

Thanks ! Edge retention is good, feels similar to the Gransfors AFA. But I'm not a good judge for this as my sharpening skills are still very poor.

Great video! Really enjoyed it. One question: how does that compare to the GB American Felling Axe? Cheers from Portugal
@skinnybearthedogs2654
@skinnybearthedogs2654 2 жыл бұрын
Hard for me to say, my GB has been so much modified I barely remember how it was, but right now they both great axes. I'd say I prefer the tassie but it's maybe because it's new. I feel like the tassie is less sticky tho, and the way I changed the handle makes it so light while still being an heavy axe, I don't know how to say, it just feel right to swing it now. But both need lot of work to make them good, stock from the boxes they aren't really great, maybe GB is a bit better out of the box. Steel is pretty much the same on both, GB maybe a bit harder. (it's even too hard actually, making it tedious to file) Cheers !

@skinnybearthedogs2654
@skinnybearthedogs2654 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah it was a windy day, against me, and the tree was also leaning downhill pretty hard. I should have banged it with a wedge to be sure not touch the other tree's branch... but I really wanted to use the axe hehe. I had to make a big load of firewood anyway and I need to clear this area a bit this year, so in the end it's fine. =) Thans for watching and sory for the late answer, I've been busy with work this past month. I miss swinging axes.

Hello man. That was very nice and pleasant video👍 Do you have any effort to make axe head shiny again after work or long period hanging on wall. And if you keep it shiny, how? Polish with compound or very fine sand paper?
@skinnybearthedogs2654
@skinnybearthedogs2654 2 жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks. I don't polish or keep my heads shinny at all, I like them aging. All I do is make sure to keep rust away, usually oiling the head from time to time is enough, I use the olive oil from the kitchen, just a little spoon does the job.

@skinnybearthedogs2654
@skinnybearthedogs2654 2 жыл бұрын
@ludovicquinonero4356
@ludovicquinonero4356 2 жыл бұрын
