@@true_cyan9188 I had the quasar before I started using the AC. Honestly, the quasar is too slow. With the AC's mag size and fire rate, it's useful for taking out medium targets in addition to tanks, and missing isn't that big of a deal.

Yes the quasar can technically do what the AC can but its more forgiving as you have 10 shots that you can fire every second before reloading. If you miss with quasar cannon it can be a death sentence especially if you are being swarmed.

I don't understand why people have been comparing the autocannon to the quasar. Quasar favours 1 big hit that pierces all armour. Autocannon fires rapidly, but bounces off heavies which is its biggest weakness. They have completely different roles, one is good for 1v1 against elites, and one is great at clearing patrols with medium armour and below. I would sooner compare Quasar with Spears, EAT, and Recoilless than anything.

I really like how they don’t formally announce stuff. In Fortnite you get trailers showing off new skins and maps but in helldivers you go in a mission and your fighting an ATAT walker from star wars

Honestly I love playing this game when I get off work and when they drop new stuff i make sure to jump back in im not surprised this game is still doing well it’s casual and fun even on hard missions I just love it and it leaves you hoping they add more stuff, im level 52 cause I took a break then came back ,I really like joining people, I spent most of my time playing on 4 cause for a bit I wasn’t sure I could handle higher levels that’s why I have 200 plus hours but not the level to match either way I have almost everything unlocked already,and the mission types are cool af can’t wait to see what els they come up with .

From what I understand it shows you the number of the current sector you’re in/looking at. If you don’t have an operation or you just start the game you can look at the table and get it to show the number for the whole map

110 hours in, 53 levels, got all the warbonds, finished helldivers difficulty on bots and bugs. Just missing 3 new ship modules release from lacking in rare samples. It's fine to stop playing the game once you finished what you were looking for. You can hop right back to experience the new monthly added contents. It's not a chore, you do you.

The ship upgrades are the real grind lol. And I will admit that the 4th level upgrades don't seem as good vs the amount of resources you sink into them. The fact that it changes the way you ship looks makes being a host kinda fun since all the divers who join get to see your fully upgraded destroyer

I've loved Helldivers 2 since i got it. I was like 4 days off from launch and wasn't hearing anything about it. Friend said it was good and i got it. I've been playing since. Helldivers is also the only game Ive ever bought for complete strangers who wanted to spread democracy but didn't have the money. Ive purchased 5 copies for completely random people. Got 2 copies for my friend group and been just absolutely loving the community. Came out of nowhere for me and I gotta say I love Helldivers 2, its Devs, and Community!

A good rule of thumb for if a game is still alive, is the simple question of "What's the general current opinion of the game?" Btw when you get that helldivers active number, that’s only in the specific sector you’re fighting in. You would have to move around and calculate each planet and add the total number to get an accurate measurement!

I'm not a PC gamer, and hadn't owned a Playstation since the PS2, but Helldivers 2 looked SO good, that I bought a PS5 (there are other games I've wanted to play, but this finally pushed me to pull the trigger on buying a console). I'm over 60 hours in, and have played it literally every single day since I got it about a month ago. I look forward to it each day, and I'm never disappointed when I boot it up. It's hard to even play other multiplayer games anymore, because none are even remotely as good. It's not an exaggeration to say this is the most fun I've ever had in nearly 40 years of gaming, and if I'd gotten a PS5 for NO OTHER REASON than Helldivers 2, I'd think it was a bargain.
