This version of the song is especially hard because Adam was the first sinner, whereas classic!Charlie was a hellborn. So Angel!Charlie is basically telling Adam that not only do all his descendants who have landed in Hell not deserve this chance at salvation, but neither does he. Now I believe that in this AU, Adam’s made peace with his circumstances and just wants his descendants to have a chance at a better afterlife, so he doesn’t really care about whether he can make it to heaven or not, but it’s still gotta sting.

I guess it makes sense considering she's half Seraph (since in this AU Lucifer didn't fall), but it also suits her position as the leader of the Exorcists.

This is really good and the singers slayed it. I do think it would have been funnier if Charlie kept her sweet higher pitch voice the way Adam kept his gravel. The original was so good at both showing the contrast between the two sides and displaying the subversion of the classic tropes of Heaven and Hell. I feel like if you're going to swap them, and therefore going back to lovely Heaven and rough Hell, you need to lean in and make Charlie as saccharine and condescending as possible.

In my personal opinion, this Charlie having a less high-pitch voice foreshadows the dark side of her personality, and therefore makes her a great villainess, especially when she openly admits enjoying her evil deeds with a mocking grin.
