Gotta say, I think Aventurine might be my favorite version of the "Gambler" archetype in gaming. The dude just doesn't hesitate to throw his all against every bet, even and sometimes especially when he didn't need to in the first place. It's just his nature. A gift and a compulsion all in one. It's so understandable by Topaz and Dr. Ratio seem exasperated by him. He's the best at what he does, but he's chaotic in such a calculating way that you just never know what he's going to do next.

@@Doflaminguard I would argue that he's not actually suicidal, just incredibly reckless and willing to rely on his luck above all else. Part of him might think he deserves to die, but lore exposition regarding the Ten Stonehearts very clearly shows that Aventurine has an actual endgame that he's working towards, same as the others. It's also been shown that Aventurine is very quietly afraid that someday his luck will run out. That at some point his blessing will not be there for him. It's even clear in his character trailer, he's holding a hand behind his back when he makes the big life or death bet with the showman. That's a major tell for gamblers that they're terrified and trying to hide it.

Only Asta from the Harmonies can get high gambles, and only Gallagher fuxuan and luocha out of the sustains, so a normal team would usually have the DPS sometimes manage to escape and most supports literally can't get a number over 6, and the punishment for losing the gamble is so much greater than winning it, definitely not fun difficult like argenti/Sam are

I have never had such a hard time reaching the 10 cycle clear in A LONG TIME until this MOC. I spent over 10 cycles alone on killing Aventurine. He couldn't kill me, but it was just very slow. Need to definitely rethink my teams on both sides. Feels bad when I don't have a strong ice damage dealer and ice would have been great for the second half Aventurine is in.
