Hell Let Loose Is Unplayable on Xbox

Hell Let Loose on Xbox has been a broken mess for a while now but recently it's been nearly unplayable. In this video I recorded my last 100 games played to show anyone at T17 that crashing is a huge issue when it come to this game. In the link below you can find a spreadsheet to my findings from what I have gathered.
This is not a shot at the developers, or anyone involved with making and creating Hell Let Loose, but this video was inspired from the frustrations myself and others in the community have endured for the past few months or years. We just want to see this game as bug free and issue free as it can be, but at some point, these issues become unexpectable. If anyone at T17 sees this please address these issues.

I never play in white chat and I crash on average once every 2-3 hours. I’ve been playing for 3 years and the crashing only started to happen frequently when t17 took over and dropped their first update. The fact they released this to game pass without the issue being resolved leads me to believe they don’t know what’s wrong and or how to fix it

This is true. The only thing that I’ve ever had issues was with Stalingrad, but over the last few months it’s been hard to play without any of my friends crashing

I had issues, ping was trashed out and it had directly follow an update. I bought a new pc, HLL has never ran better and I’m first in the server everytime. Do you send reports?

Pc didn't become slower, my gpu was out of date and it needed to be replaced. Finally got a new one not too long ago and had 0 issues.

Good to see someone bringing more to the table than just a complaint thread on the HLL discord, I hope they take note of this and actually seemingly try to do something about it! Stalingrad has been broken from the start and they never bothered to take it out of Rotation 😂 Good video mate!

I never use white chat and the game completely freezes every 1-2 games (Xbox Series X) it’s insanely frustrating. Thanks for putting this video together 💪🏼

Thank you for gathering this information, hopefully the devs finally do something about this issue. I definitely think you're right about white chat being the center of the issue, also Stalingrad having a disproportionate amount of crashes tells me that the map needs to be removed temporarily for rework like kursk was. Even though I'm on PlayStation and don't suffer from crashes that often, I'm still dealing with the constant frame rate drops.

Thanks for the support! I don’t think it’s 100% just white chat, like it could be just server stress just as easily imo. But I think that’s seen just from rubber banding of truck and tanks.

Do you play on a series x or s? I'm on series s and crash a lot, but I don't use white chat, I reject all friend requests because I don't like how it changes the controls in game, also from my experience I seem to crash more when I play commander, that could be from getting more friend requests while playing commander, not sure if an unaccepted requests put me in white chat or not

I actually quit this game not long ago because of crashing. Especially the way it crashed. I was on stalingrad and it was a very intense game we were winning but the enemy pushed us back to the middle. And for 1 hour or more even we held on despite having less players. Then i hear the satisfying tick tock noise of the game about to end and then 23 secs left it crashes. All that work and intense firefights for that. Completely unacceptable. Not only that but i got zero leveling up. Why should i play again if it crashes on me. Game was a good idea but complete disaster

I don’t really crash a lot it’s pretty uncommon play with my friend all the time play Stalingrad every time it pops up (Xbox X)

For me it was the Heat of the Series X causing the crashes. I bought a 140mm USB fan i laid on the top of the vertical standing console helping to get the hot air out. Now I barely have crashes, mostly when i forgot to turn the Fan on.

I’m rarely in white and I crash all the time. Everybody crashed less than half as often up until maybe 7 months ago. Honestly commander UI needs to be fixed just as bad.

@@Now-Awake it’s unfortunate because I’m at 147 or something and know enough to play it well but I don’t want to bother learning each damn workaround. The one time I did try, I unintentionally placed supplies, an airhead, bombing run, and more supplies on the same location.

Crashes have became more frequent since updating 14.8 and it seems it has been increasing every update there after. By the way hi from the 21st 👋

Yeah I might have to make a follow up report, especially after update 15. I didn’t expect them to fix crashing after I made this video with the new update, just hope they can fix it asap

Crashing is one thing that happens maybe two to three times a day without white chat. Getting into games has become the issue now, spend so much time crashing on the menu screen.

I see what you are saying, I don’t crash too often at the menu but it has happened. Crashing should only happen like once every few weeks, like I state in the video, crashes will occur in almost every game but they are a rare thing to happen. In Hell Let Loose it’s expected at some point to crash

I know a lot of ps5 users who crash frequently myself included Yesterday an airhead fell through the terrain on sector C7 and enemies spawned inside a rock. While recording the video my game crashed and I was pocked for high ping.

Yeah I had a 40 something kill game going and had nodes built, which should have leveled my rifleman up....and it crashes with like 4 minutes left in the game. I was so pissed.

You still keep some class xp I think when you crash. But you did miss out on the 25-50% match bonus.

​@Now-Awake had a 40 kill game after that it crashed so i rejoined and gained another 20 kills but at the end of the match i only got 11k points so i wonder if it saved my data from before the crash

K so easy remedy for the crashing. I’ll give an example… If I play the game then just exit to my Xbox Home Screen or turn the Xbox off, this is where the issue arises for me. When I press HLL, you can see in the top right of the screen “quick resume”. You don’t want this. When I see “quick resume” I go to my Home Screen and select HLL and press “quit”. Once I’ve reloaded the game I have 0 issues. Try this and let me know how it goes.

I crash every time I play this game. Also they need to make it more random on what nation you play because 80% of the time I play as Germany, 15% USA, 5% British, and 5% USSR.

Me and my friends play all the time they have Xbox. Try changing your server region preferences

I do state in the video it’s not really due to server, the only thing I can think of that causes more crashes is how much server has been stressed thought out the day. The tell with this is how much people or vehicles leg/ rubber band

Yeah it’s one way I got into pc gaming. A lot on small developers are making good game rn such as Lethal Company. That game was a blast when I first played it with friends.

We’ve tried everything. From deleting the game and redownloading it, clearing cache, factory reset, etc. crashing is still a problem. Even if this was the issue I shouldn’t have to do that to not to crash this frequently.

Yeah it’s rough. Trying to coordinate people and work together is a nightmare. You’ll get the odd squad that will play for the befit of the team. Reason number 173646428 why I never play commander.
