Hell's House

Jimmy idolizes the bootlegger Matt, and when he refuses to implicate his friend, he is sent to reform school. He befriends Shorty, a boy with a heart condition, and escapes to let the world know about the brutal conditions.

Heart-warming film. Highlights the bond of brotherly love that can develop between two adolescent boys in a way that directors of today's movies would do well to take a lesson from. It's interesting how boys are group mates in a way that girls usually are not. What is this 'brotherly love' thing guys reserve for each other? You don't see movies about girls with such intense affection and loyalty to one-on-one friendships-hugging and crying over the loss of each other. Bonding friendship in blood
