The clouds are just different here. In California they weren't nearly as pretty.

DudeLikeHELLA i feel ya when i lived in california the clouds were these flat things that were so infrequent unless there was a storm brewing. in colder climates the clouds are soooo dern fluffy and pretty and if you get some that are reflecting off a lake or ice you get a blue or blue green coloring!! not to mention how pretty clouds are when the sun sets.

Cory I just want to thank you so much for your vlogs. I've been having a really hard time at work lately and today especially was an absolutely horrible day, but I come home and I can sit down and watch your vlog and you show me something simple and beautiful. A wide open sky filled with such unusual and serene clouds and snow topped peaks. It makes me miss my own time in Alaska (even though that was another stressful and unpleasant time in my career). You remind me of the good things though, and I really need that right now. So thank you so much for sharing the good.

Great way of justifying if something is worth buying. The price and the amount of uses you get out of it. You've changed my life in that regard. You learn something new every day.

this is the only way i have been able to justify buying video games over the last 10 years or so. i ask my self, is 60 bucks worth the expected amount of game play time. most games last about 10 hours or so, some way longer ( i have over 600 hours on skyrim alone} i then take that number and if it seems reasonable then it's ok. Sometimes, like in skyrim's case, i get super lucky and get way more bang for my buck. Also minecraft is another game that was is worth more in play value then what i paid. :D

You should get a gig at the local news, covering local events and destination ideas, that way you can still live a normal life and experience Alaska without getting all commercialized. I would tune into KTVA for sure or just do it yourself w/e works. Either way I'm tuning in.

The TV station would mean a foot in the door for professional media (not just the Indie stuff you do *which is awesome*) Just a bit o' Internet Concern for you and yours.

Cory, please continue to film and share with us YOUR likes and experiences. Because if you listen to and try to cater to everyone out there that complains about this and that, especially those complaining about fishing for goodness sake, your videos won't be full of YOU, they will be bits and pieces of what everyone else wants it to be. I love your videos, each and every one because they are so real and fun. Please don't change the way you do things because of the opinions of the few. :)

I'm fairly new to your videos but I have been binging and let me just say, this whole Alaskan experience thing has me floored. It's like a whole new world and it's so fascinating! The price differences alone up there are insane! I couldn't imagine living up there in all that cold because I'm not gonna lie, I'm not build for that stuff, but I would love to see the things you get to see!... Aaaand just to add thanks to you I now feel less alone in the fact that my cat is not the only one who enjoys being 'beat' and roughed up lol I love your cats!

Aw, I missed the Pooky Pounding! He loves that! Kristen's a real gem, she's up for a lot of your ideas. I agree, the ice fishing gear is a good investment. If you go more than twice in a season, you're doing good, and I bet there are other uses for those items. A safe tent heater is a good idea as well, although Kristen is a great alternative ;-) Man, those clouds! Amazing, and I bet the colors are fabulous! And that march will be an amazing place in the spring when all the flocks come back and are feeding there. Fluffy eagle is awesome.

CORY, I really want to see fishing, and I know thousands of others want to as well. Maybe you can just put a disclaimer right before you start fishing etc. and tell them what time to go to, to pass over the fishing part. I'm honestly astounded that so many people are disturbed by fishing, you bought the gear, might as well film using it!

Cory, I don't think you were in a place to appreciate our clouds. I am glad you are now, though, enjoy them! Celery with peanut butter is the best snack ever, I eat it after working out. I love your way of reasoning about buying things and it was great to see reasonable Cory talking you into it in the car! Please please show us when you go fishing, I am one of those people who really wants to do that and can't, so I want to live vicariously through you. =) Fishing is one of my greatest loves and I hope to do it again someday. My daughter learned about patting (more like beating haha) cats butts from you. Her cat LOVES it! Silly creature acts just like Loki and pesters us to do it more and more.

Hey Cory. So I started watching your videos around 2011, and mind you i was lured to the SMP channel by one mean kitty. And from that point i fell in love with your videos and when you started vlogging? oh man was i happy. It sounds weird to say this but Ive seen you grow as a person but you're exactly the same ha ha. Anyways around mid-2012 school and life kinda hit me in the face a few times and i had no time to watch your videos! Not even in the summer. But now life has really calm down and i thought " What the hell, I'll see what Mr. Safety is up to." and Ive just delved into your videos since Ive been gone and wow. You know watching someone vlog every single day of their life, you really start to feel like you're part of their daily routine and it really makes me feel like were all family. And i got to say I'm extremely happy that you're happy in Alaska with Kristen and your new place is amazing! Bottom line Cory, you make me laugh just as much as you did 3 years ago and seeing you happy and content with your life makes me happy, especially with all you've gone through. Cory, I missed you man. And Ive missed seeing Sparta and Loki. Anyways Ive been rambling but, I'm happy to see you happy.

Don't listen to all these complainers! I would love to watch you ice fish, and I don't even have that much of an interest in fishing. But because it's YOU doing the ice fishing is what makes me interested. I watch your videos to see YOU and YOUR personality. You can do something that would originally be boring, and make it fun and entertaining. Don't stop doing what you love and enjoy to please other people. You couldn't even if you tried, because you just can't please everyone. There will always be people with something negative to say no matter what you do. So you might as well do the things you love.

Is it safe to fish inside of the tent? Heat gathers inside making the ice more likely to melt and if it does and you sink you are trapped inside of a tent and probably wont be able to get out very easily. Plus you're drilling a hole into the ice inside of the tent making the ice more unstable? Am I just a health and safety nut?
@elisabethak9502
@elisabethak9502 10 жыл бұрын
I know it sounds a little unsafe but it really isn't. The ice gets so thick that people up here actually have little wooden huts they built themselves and drag across the ice which actually have little wood burning heaters in it in some cases (once they found a good spot they leave it there all winter and take it back home during breakup season. You can certainly buy all the stuff like Cory did but most people are very DYI about it. But an ice auger is a huge must because the ice doesn't crack around the hole as you drill into it which makes it alot safer. Greetings from Fairbanks, Alaska!
