Reminded me in the movie to how they mismanaged Batman in the same way in Batman v Superman, likewise Hellboy 2019. Much like Nolan's Batman movies, Del Toro films rather lied upon the director style instead of adapting the comics. However, like in BvS, the 2019 film so desperately tried to use as many Mignola material as possible they forget that those stories told in an order for a bigger picture. You can't begin with your new Batman by adapting the "Dark Knight Returns", because you has to skip key stories to get there. You can't begin a movie series by adapting the issue where he died, because that is the most common in "Hellboy: the Storm" and "Death of Superman". They wanted to tell six different stories instead of featuring one good one.

That's a really wise king. Not only he swore not to used an unkillable army, he make peace with humanity after slaying them and he and his people live in the sewer where human doesn't know they are exist.

Is it weird that I really want to know how well the golden army would handle against a modern day army, I mean later on we see that they are tough as hell and can self repair but I’m just wondering the full extent of it
@fernandomartin41414 жыл бұрын
I was wondering the same when I watched this movie. More precisely, how would they prevail against a bukkake of nuclear bombs.

Or how they would do against the Sentinels from Days of Future Past.

Thermite. Napalm. Brick melters. United States Armed Forces would risk setting the atmosphere on fire!

Their biggest issue is the single point of failure. An F-35 can move at super sonic speeds and drop 100 megatons of hot flaming death on their command structure, instantly halting the army. Plus *any* royal can challenge them. We have more spare royals and suicide bomb vests than they have elves.
@kythebengzon80232 жыл бұрын
@@The9TKitsune This assumes Human Royalty can command the army which seems to be a horrible failsafe. It is more likely that only those of the elves ogres and more could challenge the wearer of the crown. The humans are enemies why exactly would they be allowed to call for a challenge. Nuada could find like some alternate fae dimension to hide in after telling the golden army to wipe out humanity. Good luck finding him then.

Imagine being afraid of an ancient story about an army of indestructible metal warriors, then trying to convince yourself of the non existence of that army, then looking at you and seeing that actually, you are a literal demon.

It always amazes me that young Hellboy was played by an adult actress rather than a child actor.

King Balor could ruled the world if he want, but he doesn't want it, in fact he's sad that humans get slaughtered by his golden Army. That's shows how benevolent king he was.

The fact that Nuada is literally portrayed as a wandering samurai somehow makes him even more badass, especially once you see him in action.

5:29 "those guys can't be real" Hellboy. The film franchise that contains a red, devil-baby; Nazi assassins that bleed dust; Grigori Rasputin still being alive; yet he questions the integrity of a story.

When Hellboy insists Howdy Doody is real, it reflects how much we as an audience connect and by into the movie. So much of this movie is puppets, prosthetics, and cgi, and the writing and performances are good enough that by the end you completely believe it all.
