I think the rule of tributing monsters really works on a symbolic level, as in many religions, including Christianity, involve a sacrifice to God. while you are correct, it is proven historicly that many polytheistic religions believed in the existence of other pantheons and while it doesnt make much sence with how much creation and laws of the world would overlap, they accepted this. like if you are in egypt, the rules of the egyptian religion was true, but if you were to leave to another region, it wasnt out of the question for those rules to be different where you were. while your gods still aplied to you as you were from one place, you were still subject to the laws of creation in the other place. think of it like each area a religion was oriented around was it's own dimension on earth. i know, fucking weird and its not like people didnt still fight over "who's gos are the correct gods" im just pointing out a common belief, what was really blasphemous was acknowledging other pantheons in sacred places or openly in a place they arnt supose to exist in general. there was even a belief in some parts of the eastern hemesphere that there was a gran council of gods, subject to multiple religions. like a UN of religions but yea your right, dont say "egyptian gods" in egypt xD

In my opinion, the second half of season 5 was the best season of Yugioh. Atem travelling back into his lost memories and playing the Ultimate Shadow Game was really cool. The origin of Duel Monsters, the birth of the Dark Magician. Plus the music that they use is really good as well!
