Being one of super earths finest, you probably already know this, but depending on what weapon you use to melee, hits bots in different places. This is why I always use pistols to melee against bot infantry, because it almost always headshots due to you hitting down with the pistol instead of across with most primary weapons.

Great life tips, thank you! I love to use the Eruptor vs. Bots. Since it has limited ammo and is tough to use in close-quarters, I tend to use it with a redeemer set to single-fire. The Eruptor allows you to drop the grenade pistol for the redeemer because the eruptor can destroy fabricators just like the auto-cannon, so that way you can blow them up even further away than with the grenade pistol while also doing a crazy 380 damage per shot (and some added explosive AoE). The Eruptor's slow to aim and the bullet speed is slow with a little drop-off, but once I got used to it I found I liked it more than the diligence CS.

The Eruptor is definitely an amazing gun! There was alot of (in my opinion) good reviews done on it so I have no videos on it, but definitely agreed there. And the Redeemer is my favorite secondary whenever I lose my necessity for the Grenade Pistol (i.e. having an alternative explosive weapon). All good points sir!

Jammer / tower fabricators work like regular outposts for spawning patrols, though patrols dont spawn *from* outposts. They spawn on a timer, a set distance away from the player(s), in the *direction* of an outpost. As a result, killing outposts doesn't reduce the amount of patrols, nor how close to you they spawn. It only reduces the possible directions they can spawn from.

Fantastic run. I learned a lot, thanks! As an ER Nurse who’s also seen a lot of things including death, I’d only argue that fun/happiness is easily not #1 life priority always. It’s a nice thing to say, but in reality pursuit of these is often selfish. Yeah Lexlocatelli and his friends did amazing research honestly, I love when people dedicate themselves to knowledge like that. I don't know them personally but definitely give them a visit if you find time! The sample dropping is a great trick indeed, even better with a 4-man group you know. You pick up each other's samples before redropping them. Basically guarantees your samples since only one of you has to pick them up and extract! 😃

I think i might get back into helldivers again after watching this :) P.S. you can think of the hellbomb's hitbox as being an upward cone, with the center roughly on the hellbomb, which is why its usually easy to get away from, and gets buildings from further away when it's below them

About the fabricator attached to the secondary objective, it does matter for spawn. But the heat increase from those active fabricators is based on the time you spend near them so in your case it was negligible. It did act as a valid spawn point tho, but it barely increased spawn, it only added a new direction patrols spawns from.

My favourite weapon for this would be the adjudicator. It still two-shots devastator heads like the diligence, but it has a better scope, higher firerate and medium armor pen. I would recommend using it with anti-recoil armor, so you can go prone and fire in two-three shot bursts when sniping, wich gives you pretty consistent headshots up until ~100 meters. Though the best thing about it is the versitility. It's an assault rifle AND a marksman rifle. So, when in close combat, you can focus on devastator legs, 1/3 of the mag kills them there (wich, considering the low mag size, is really fast). Basically, it's a diligence, a liberator penetrator and a jar-5 combined. Try it, I bet you won't use any other weapon.

My loadout for bots is very silly. But since you said you're curious: Primary: Eruptor. Good for long-range fabricator deletion. Sometimes I go the counter-sniper (more likely if solo). Though I've been trying other options to see what I like. Secondary: Grenade Pistol. I don't actually use this for deleting fabricators unless I have, for some god-forsaken reason, run out of eruptor ammo. I use it for taking out heavy devastator, as you can shoot off their gun arms in 1 shot if you're lucky. I can't find consistency with it, but it's very nice when it happens. Grenade: Stun. Anything else is trolling let's be honest. I use them for nuking hulks and... just general utility. Armor: Light Gunner. I like having high armor and movement speed. Frankly, it doesn't matter. strategems are gas strike or orbital airburst. Then choice of either supply pack or shield gen (i find the obscene amount of stims more than makes up for lack of shield, plus a funny amount of stun grenades). And finally, Laser cannon. Let's be honest you aren't getting a 4th option versus bots (I pick either orbital laser, orbital precision, or 380 barrage depending on how i'm feeling if I'm allowed to have it. Laser for facstriders/ fabricators. Orbital for facstriders, and 380 for feeling like a god of destruction.). basic strat is use laser cannon annnnnd nothing else really. Laser Cannon is an obscene all-rounder for bots that can even kill some objectives from 200m away (notably mortars). some specific enemy notes though: Striders: if I have a luxury of ammo or am panicking to get out of a bad situation, just grenade pistol them Rocket Devs: easier to aim for their rockets. I just leave them alive after because it's funny. Heavy Devs: Peak cover with grenade pistol and look to 1-shot them in the face or take off their arm. Hulks: Stun grenade then laser their head into oblivion. Facstrider: Kill their chin-guns, then melt their face. Don't usually have the luxury strategem to deal with the cannon on their back. love the random drops of wisdom. Very wholesome. Possibly life-changing

Thank you for the elaborate response! The Eruptor I feel is always a solid choice, it does kind of mandate the rest of your loadout due to it's specific functions like you mentioned. It's quality definitely compensates for that fact though. Grenade Pistols and Stun Grenades are straight up epic, agreed! Airburst and Gas against bots? That's a cool idea, rarely in my arsenal but will definitely test it out now! The Lasercannon is definitely phenomenal against bots, no additions or counterarguments there. @@PhacilGaming I normally take one or the other. Airburst is more outright lethal, but gas helps "soften up" large groups of berzerkers and devastators as bots are too dumb to move fast like bugs do. I like both, though I do think Airburst is simply more effective due to the immediacy of it's effect

Something interesting about the DCS’s dynamic with its base model counterpart is that it could actually always one shot devastator heads even when it had 128 damage due to its class 3 penetration, but it could only do it closer than 20m due to damage falloff. Personally, I would like to see the Diligence gain that ability so it could outcompete the DCS in CQC, but not at range. Giving the Diligence class 3 penetration might be a little broken, but I feel like the Diligence feels a bit too weak atm and a pen buff would solve that.

You are mostly right about patrols, but they don't spawn from outposts, they spawn between you and an outpost walking towards you. If the closest outpost is 500m away(and your not near the edge), the patrol will still spawn 125-200m away from you in that direction. That mean all patrol spawns will take about the same amount of time to reach you

A loadout i like to use against bugs on any difficulty is the Flamethrower, Napalm Eagle, Gatling Gun Sentry, and the Sheild Generator Backpack. For guns and normal equipment i use the Sickle, Impact Grenades and any variant of light armor. It would be cool to see someone try out my personal favorite loadout :o

It only takes 2-3 grenade pistol shots to kill an annihilator tower if you need to take one out. It's not always worth it, but when you had the double tower with the two fabs, I would have killed the one you were under as you had the resupply to refill your shots and then you'd only need to hope one tower missed you on your retreat. Getting ragdolled by one tower can sometimes guarantee the other kills you, so I try to take out at least one in those situations.

Punisher plasma against bots is slept on a lot. It is able to handle so many enemy types on top of its stagger it's wild. Hell, you can kill tanks with it while shooting over cover.

It has aoe splash, can 2 shot walkers, sometimes mutliple at once if they're clumped up, can perma-stun lock devastators, even multiple at the same time if they're close together, and like I mentioned before can kill tanks and the gun towers by itself and while shooting over cover at them. It's a slightly heavier hitting, hard CC scorcher with a lobbing effect. People saying it's mediocre are 'meta' slaves.

If you want an easy extrac on a helldive, need to wipe the map fast. A solid team of 4, maybe 3, can do that on a large map. All nests/fabs/bases destroyed, all patrols killed, all mobs at pois killed in under 15 minutes, and, extrac will be quite boring. Even with the "increased spawn rate" or whatever it is people are complaining about is "too hard." Still doable as of yesterday.

I have a short video I'm working on describing how to (relatively easily) dodge their stuff. Then it's just a matter of Hellbombing their fabricator and hiding so they fly away. Not the most efficient strategy, but effective enough. Obviously the smart route is to just have an answer to them 🙏

Or even the rail gun for heavy units and something like the precision strike for fabricators. I know the guard dog can pop devestator heads from 20 meters.

In order to avoid confirmation bias, don't bother looking for evidence. At least for things that are subjective or hard to prove If you 100% feel like something is correct, you are often correct. Your brain is a finely tuned super computer designed through millions of years of evolution. You can be correct at something hard to explain, and not know why you are correct. Most of the time when you are wrong, the thing you are thinking about was specifically designed by someone to be confusing.

Oof, I don't know if I can agree here. I'll believe our instinct is often right like you mentioned, I do unfortunately think that our mind doesn't like it when we're disappointed so it may unconsciously lead us to believe things that aren't right. I do enjoy your positive mentality though! And I kind of hope you're right. I believe a channel called Veritasium has a good episode on this as well. He describes the best route to achieving correct information being: when you believe something, try to disprove it instead of proving it. If you cannot disprove it then it must be right. This bypasses our bias which is partially present by our mind's will to keep us content. Thank you for your insight!

I believe I got it in the Super credit store rotation. Unfortunately that means you simply have to wait for it to become available again (it cycles every 2 days I believe). Not confident though I apologize! Arguably the Trailblazer Scout (stealth promoting armor) is a better armor, which you can get in the regular warbond if that helps you any 🙏

As for the game, I still enjoy it. It's obviously extremely repetitive, but I feel the game mechanics are well done so that compensates for alot. Kind of Monster Hunter-esque if you will. Yes, I work on an intensive care unit as a nurse. Unfortunately death rates on ICU's can be very high (depending on the type of ICU it is, some specialize more in post-operative care, mine specializes in traumatology and acute care). Mortality (death percentages) averages around 15%, so 2 in 13 patients pass away on average. My opinions and mentality are largely influenced by the life experience I gained working there. I'm going to be working on different ICU's but I had a wonderful time there! 😃 I'll definitely do my best to package what I learned and present it in an acceptable fashion through gaming videos.
