Dude, a bile titan has damage reduction while spitting. Meanwhile in any other game, it's common game design knowledge to give a big armored ennemy a weakspot/attack window when it performs an attack to give you an opportunity. Logic went through the window.

I think you're underselling it a bit too much. The Emancipator is "okay" at best, here's the things you're overlooking vs the portable AC. - It can kill chargers relatively quickly (aim for the legs like usual, once armor pops, it dies really quick) - Against Bile Titans, if you weaker the head with an anti-tank, it dies really quickly to just a few shots But yeah, otherwise, the lack of lower aim, and high amount of shot required to kill a bile titan without help makes it pretty eh

Mechs were legit walking tanks in Helldivers 1. Way tougher, way more ammo, way more effective weapons. You didn't even need to stomp, just walking near little enemies would crush them en masse. It was so much fun

I wish AH would stop balancing for Diff 3. It's OK for things to totally blow away lower difficulties. That's the point. AH should balance weapons probably for around diff 7, as that's where the first super samples are, then adjust enemy spawn rates as needed to make difficulties challenging

Diff 7 is already very, very easy on both bots and bugs, I can run almost any loadout and have a 99% success with randoms. There are not many weapons or stratagems that are not viable on 7. On 9 it is different.

@@RichSmithson You must have a hard time reading and comprehending the general message, they're not asking for an easier game, they're asking for the terrible weapons and stratagems for difficulty 7-9 to actually be equally good as the current "meta" picks. Meta isn't bad it just exposes that every other option can hardly compare with the meta picks. For example with the bugs the meta loadout would be the 500kg, cluster/napalm, incendiary breaker, grenade pistol, impacts grenades, shield backpack, and quasar cannon. This is the best all-round loadout and if you switched out the incendiary breaker you're just knowingly handicapping yourself because you're desperate for some variety even if you know it's going to be a lesser experience you're purposefully putting yourself through. Like why not switch the incendiary breaker with the explosive crossbow or eruptor on a helldive mission, they're all supposedly "S tier" from what Alexus says?

@@berserkerpride I mean, that's how I personally like to play. I enjoy guerilla warfare, so I like to use hit and run tactics against the bots. I let my teammates deal with the "horde" while I use the AMR and 110 rockets to deal with serious threats. I also like making life easier for them by triggering bot drops by attacking outposts, then leaving before the dropships even arrive. Although the patrol changes recently have made this tactic a lot less enjoyable and useful.

What I did yesterday after running out of mechs to call in, and out of strategems, I decided to call in the top notch "traitor" orbital barrage with infinite ammo. Turns out if you walk in a zig zag motion by turning every 2s you can avoid every hit. The traitor barrage helped me down a bile titan. I also get 15+ kills with it. What can I say? It's a secret meta that no one talks about. (devs close your eyes youre not seeing this) 😂

Basically, my dream wishlist for this game boils down to: - Delete the player headshot multiplier from the game - Give us a read-out in the lobby of which enemies will spawn on the currently chosen mission - Weapon nerfs rolled back - Most weapons buffed - The new weapon balance gold standard should be somewhere around the Autocannon and original Railgun/Breaker power level - To give those weapons (in the hands of high-level players who can use them to their maximum potential) a matching and adequate high-level challenge, the baseline level 9 difficulty should be around what an "absolutely maxed out" level 9 is right now (I.e. what you'd see with extra enemy spawns "story events" active, on a map where the spawns don't mess up) - Difficulties below that should actually feel meaningfully easier and different: Patrol spawns dialed way back and/or they have less precise tracking of your location - Bump up the primary/secondary objective count in difficulties below 9 (Having objectives to do is fun and interesting - Just maybe limit extremely mean spawn patterns of "active threat" objectives, like 3x stalker nests or detectors, to helldive only) In the interest of long-term game health, maybe also rethink the rewards system (For story events _and_ for in-mission objectives) - But that would be more than a numbers change, so it's OK if it takes time.

I switched to deep rock galactic after they nerfed eruptor to the ground, and I don't see a reason to come back yet What's interesting is that the devs at deep rock galactic would stream themselves playing the deep dive (like an endgame dungeon), both normal and harder variant (every week!), these are the devs that actually play their game, arrowhead needs to do the same. And duck off with the 'oh small studio' excuse. Arrowhead got 100+staffs and ghost ship got 32.

Yup, about what I expected... BTW, the "superior packing methodology" upgrade just straight up doesn't affect the resupply backpack. It's not that he didn't have that upgrade, it's that it doesn't work with the backpack, which it should IMO. But it is working as intended, seeing as that ship upgrade doesn't list the resupply backpack, only the resupply stratagem.

I swear the medic armor is what sends you flying. I'll lay down next to someone standing and i go flying while they get staggered by the same rocket. The mech though was fun while it was free. Made extract easy on 9 when everyone had one. I won't be filling one of my slots with it though.

I hope that they add a feature where you can call a dropship to pick up a mech so it can be returned to the destroyer in order to re-arm and repair. That way you could get more out of your mechs if you manage them properly.

BTW, you can still change aiming shoulders in the mech - so when you lose your right arm just swap shoulder and then your left gun will aim correctly. If you have to use this mech either fire right gun dry, swap shoulders, fire left gun, OR use righty for precision shots and lefty for general aoe. You can also swap shoulder to aim patriot missiles correctly, but you gotta make ADS a tap or you'll be firing the gattling the whole time. Or better yet, don't use the mech, but the more you know!

Anyone who says the mech is good/fun are definitely high on something. The aiming is more misaligned than a toddler's first drawing and they plan on adding more vehicles to the game without the basic HP display, and no smoke is not a good indicator as you can see from this vid. They should give all mech a shield that regens out of combat, they already got the code from the backpack and it allows the mechs to fill the frontline role to a reasonable degree, otherwise what's the point of having a big slow oaf on the team with piss aim?

The next patch better deliver generous buffs to half the weapons, strategems, airstrikes, orbitals and also new and dead-on-arrival strategems such as the airburst and this mech. Almost everything that is not part of the 3-4 optimal loadouts needs substantial buffs, tweaks and fixes. Oh and fix weapon and mech sights already. Well, for now let's see what they deliver.

Fun fact! If you change your shoulder view, you can aim with the other gun accurately! It is especially recommended with the patriot, since aiming with the rockets is more critical than the machinegun. Less useful with the eman, since one gun is always going to aim wrong

If you want to Patriot missiles to go exactly where you aim, switch camera angles to the other side. I was blown away but that little detail once I found out about it. Side mouse button does it for me quickly. Guns guns guns, swap side, fire missile, swap back, guns guns guns.

I like the air burst for ambushed and drops/breaches, issue is that only the eagles can really support it properly as the orbitals, mines and turrets are all super long cool-downs and generally easy to counter/avoid/wipe-out. I have ran an air burst with precision, strike/500/cluster plus a “flex”/utility slot to decent effect but if you miss with the AV call in you are royally effed. It’s far more a group play option than solo tho due to the AoE being a self-delete once things start to run you down (and they will). I usually mitigate that with a turret (except vs bots where it’s not really of use due to their tendency to concave and stand in a skirmish formation
