microsoft/xbox is gonna scramble to counter this game. probably with a Halo ODST version of sorts. Trouble is that since Halo is a corporate AAA entity there will probaby be a lot of nonsense pushed into it and will release incomplete.

I immediately drew comparisons to halo considering they drop from pods and are called ‘helldivers’ as opposed to ‘helljumpers’. The game has a much more goofy atmosphere though, i like it

My first Halo game was ODST I converted to Sony on the ps4 making the hardest gaming decision to miss out on Halo for almost a decade, all of us Sony Ponies deserve this. I would argue I’m having a better time in Helldivers 2 than I did Halo and that’s saying something.

@@Aztecashadow I don't know, the demand is pretty high for HD2 on Xbox. Maybe you're right, but to have a PS "exclusive" on PC is kinda weird considering Microsoft owns both Windows and Xbox... So it's only available on 1 of Microsoft's platforms, not both.

@@bocogaming it’s on pc/steam not windows. You can’t buy this on the windows store, learn the difference. The only thing they own on pc to make your point relevant is the os, which is not the only os for pc. Therefore, pc does not entirely equal Microsoft. Herman Hulst has also said that GaaS will be day and date with pc, this is one of them. Demand doesn’t equal to game sales, especially when Xbox is known for not have great game sales.

As long as Sony has it's grips on it, it will never come to Xbox. Xbox just released all of it's early console exclusive games to Playstation and Sony responded with "Cool, thanks. We won't be doing that." They still have that palpable superiority complex.

@@nathanielrasey So far it's, Hi-Fi Rush, Pentiment, Grounded, and Sea of Thieves that were given to Playstation, with more reportedly to come. Sea of Thieves and Grounded probably being the two larger games. Sony chairman Hiroki Totoki said in an earnings call that the company wants to “proactively work on” extending PlayStation titles to platforms like PC and mobile, adding he wants to be aggressive in improving Sony’s margins. Pointedly leaving out Xbox as a viable option.
