One of my buddies fell in love with lasers after the buff. He likes to run the stim pistol, supply pack, scythe and laser cannon then runs around being a combat medic! Fun times not having to stim with him around lol

The Perfect Opening: Dropping onto the Stalker nest, so you don't have to deal with it. The issue of the gun mounted flashlights is that there is SO MUCH FOG that abruptly fills your view when you have the light shining. On places without it, it can be nice, but you can always turn it on during those situations, you won't survive needing to turn it off to see enemies a lot of the time. IMHO the Dagger is (at least now) a really solid pistol choice, the infinite ammo, high accuracy out to the relatively short ranges you'll use it at vs bugs and good handling makes for a great backup weapon in general. Heh. That comment on "It feels nice seeing everybody running different weapons." Yeah, that's been a huge win out of this patch. Laser guard dog has been a pretty consistent 'What you think it does? It does.' to varying degrees of effectiveness. The other one that comes to mind is Orbital Precision Strike, for that 'This specific spot, delete it.' experience.

Missed opportunity not bringing in the laser cannon as well. I love that thing, especially on bots. Not so great against chargers or biles, but it cooks everything else - including shrieker nests / spore towers from cross map.

What about the Sickle? Did it not get any buffs? The Helldivers 1 in me makes me feel like using the Scythe would be like consuming poison.

So since youre running the laser pistol, how would you recommend taking of bug holes? I assume you have to stick to your team the entire time.

You could also just bring grenades. Most of my Helldivers career I stuck to HE grenades for this purpose.

In short is still no viable event after buff, you need entire arsenal of laser weapons to compete with a LMG...

Going out of your way for 1 bug nest isn't worth it. It's like 5XP for a small. An actual side objective like a radar is definitely worth it though because it's 50XP base. It's a good idea to skip nests/fabricators in favor of getting the hell out, especially after main objective is done and patrols have been supercharged. Unless nests are on the way or it's the super nest it's a waste of time. Unless you need samples, because sure, plenty spawn on those.

Bots are too annoying to fight the majority of the time imo. They just aren't that fun to play against

@@garydorsey4243 They're way more tactical and you really need to know the pro's and con's of your weapon to know what you can and can't pull off vs the bots. Bugs are kind of a giant blob in my head, with a few units being more unique in how to deal with them. It's fun but in a "shoot everywhere lol" kind of way. Bots are all super unique, every unit has weak points that need to be abused, or threat priorities on who to destroy first. Every choice you make vs bots is going to be significant. They're the most fun to fight against in my opinion because of all that. When you're winning vs bots, it feels super deserved.
