they should just let us press middle mouse or something to drop the ball at our feet bonus points if it uses the same code for when your diver drops the ball after getting ragdolled so when they drop the patch people will just go limp if they hit it accidentally

What's your preference between the Crossbow or the Eruptor since the two now basically fill the same overall niche? Both do roughly similar damage (Eruptor slightly wins out), both have low fire rate (crossbow slightly wins out), and both can close bug holes/destroy fabricators. The crossbow is supposed to be better at stealth, but I still often find that it seems to alert every enemy to my exact precise location regardless and I personally haven't noticed enemies being alerted to the explosion point all the time (sometimes they do, but sometimes they immediately and precisely zero in on my position) For me, while I have been taking the Eruptor out a bit more again, it still feels like a pale shadow of it's former self, the explosion radius feeling very underwhelming some times and decent at others which makes it feel very inconsistent dealing with grouped up enemies, since sometimes it does seem to be able to kill several small bugs/bots at once but other times I shoot right into the middle of a group and it only manages to take out one or two despite the grouping. The loss of the shrapnel still hurts the weapon's overall viability in my mind, and I mostly just use it for bug holes since even against fabricators I am more inclined to just hit them with an Eagle or an orbital rather than bother trying to aim for the small openings

Yeah, honestly I'm still using them mostly for bug holes and fabricators, the AoE on the Eruptor is still decent enough tho you can fire it into a bug breach and get a decent number of kills. I'm mostly using it when I wanna move fast, sprinting in between pot shots at small groups, then bring out the MG for larger groups. Nothing like its former glory, not even reliably one shotting killing scout striders is sad, but it's still serviceable as a tool - outside of an AC it's still the easiest way to take out bug holes from afar, especially from outside those large nests. Crossbow I haven't messed around with much since its buffs, tho doing structure damage is really nice for it now. I realised I'm just not a fan of it aesthetically / thematically, but I'll try it out again at some point.

@@newspiked7385 I more like the _idea_ of the crossbow, since I really _REALLY_ want a legit stealth weapon, and it's pretty much the closest we've got for now, but it is very hit-and-miss as to just how "stealthy" it is. Still good for the same reason the Eruptor is, so honestly the two are kind of interchangeable at this point. Still mostly just using the Ballistic Shield/Snake Box before they patch it

I wonder how effectively the heavy MG can take down bot gunships? Im honestly finding the helldive bot meta stale as you seemingly require AMR or autocannon to not be constantly harrassed PS your descriptions are always so great and appreciated, it like completely skips the 5 minute youtuber intro waffling and just skips straight to the action of your video

Heavy MG takes them down very quickly, just aim for the engines and lead the target slightly. Normal MG is no good tho, not enough AP - so I kinda know what you mean, feels like there's more support weapons that aren't that useful vs bots. AMR and Autocannon are king, but I'd say Lascannon and HMG are also good generalist options. Other support weapons need appropriate primaries / secondaries to plug gaps, e.g. Scorcher to deal with gunships if you wanna use the Railgun / GL, or Plasma Punisher / grenade pistol to deal with Scout Striders if you're bringing ATs. Glad you like the descriptions! I've always found build breakdowns easier to read than listen to, so it's there for whoever wants them.

Yes, try the Laser cannon if you haven’t really spent much time with it. Very quick on gunship engines and,pared w stun nades, makes easy work of hulks.

It works too, yeah, but you might wanna swap in a primary that can handle crowds better - I feel the HMG doesn't handle the sheer number of small enemies as well as the MG due to its smaller mag, but it does tear through the medium enemies even faster. Yeah, MG is nice with peak physique, but you need to keep it to 700 for general use, 900 you are over killing and wasting so much ammo thats why you where spending so much time reloading and out of ammo! :P
