I was using the new SMG for a few runs on bugs earlier, felt real nice. The damage with the slower fire rate makes it good for control and target acquisition. I agree with you that it feels like it could use a drum mag with more rounds per mag but fewer spare mags.

The ammo amount is 9 + 1 = 10mags, 10mag X 25 rounds/mag = 250 rounds, plus one in the chamber for a total of 251 rounds.

Helldivers don’t need math! If ministry of truth tells you it’s 9mags of 25 bullets equals 2500 bullets then it’s 2500 bullets!

this is actually WRONG because resupplies are infinite, so you have INFINITE bullets.

Not gonna lie, it's easily become my favorite primary, it excels in close quarters where I play majority of the time. Also you can shoot the Devastators breastplate and the recoil will cause the bullets to hit it in the head

I think slugget need bigger projectile hitbox. Thetr are many time i tried to shoot a bot and it missed for some reasons

Perfect for punching big holes in big targets." -increase the projectile size as it has yet to punch big holes in big targets, and would reduce near misses on smaller enemies. -Increase base damage and durable damage. -buff AP to LVL 4. -Make the recoil and pump action more linear (better follow up shots) and add a variable scope(at least a 100m) any two of those would make it far more adequate They nerfed a shotgun for being in 30% of loadouts on the bug front, how about giving something thats in the lowest use rate on both fronts a little love?

@IBASteve more damage and better hit boxes sure but ap4 you are literally asking it to become a meta weapon. Ever since the revolver was made into ap4, everyone want a primary with ap4 left and right. I just want a primary that work better and the slugger right now is annoyingly to use because of the hitbox. Because why stop at 1?? It never stopped at 1 weapon having an ap4. Im more wanting the stalwart to be primary because it the worst support weapon where their whole ideal is to defeat heavy unit enemy and stalwart is not that.

It’s so sick that they put some recoil reduction on the explosion resistance armor I was gonna wear anyways. I mostly play bots and switch to ultra light when I fight bugs, but every time I’ve accidentally forgotten to switch, it has saved me from accidentally being killed by a teammate’s stratagems. I fucking love surviving direct blasts from cannons and stepping in mines and accidentally blowing up my rail gun for a light tickle. Letting me spray and pray irresponsibly is a crazy cherry on top

Yeah i think that was my mistake... I only used the smg in 3rd person. The recoil is crazy in 3rd person lol. Burst fire in 3rd person full auto in 1st person sounds like the play 😂

I swear bugs will randomly absorb ammo or explosives that hit them. It happens at least twice per game.

Enemies have durable spots, so it's common for impacts to be absorbed

Dead sprint is only good if you use vitality at the same time. So I don't think it would be very good for solo use.

In my few games with it today, it honestly feels very close to the adjudicator. It has the same issues with small mags imo. Maybe less recoil but damage wise it feels similar. As an SMG I was kinda hoping this would be one handed but its not.

It’s basically the G36C from Modern Warfare 3 can tell from the look & reload animation in first person mode. Fun high power assault rifle with the aerodynamics of a sub machine gun. Very bouncy recoil but it would put in work once you got use to it.

I don’t understand why everything needs to have larger mags to most of the playerbase. Pretty sure this is based on the UMP that fires .45 rounds and has a magazine capacity of 25. Guess what? In the real world soldiers have to reload too! 😂 If all weapons in this game had drum mags then they may as well all be the same weapon cuzz none of em are going to feel different.
