In that they mention the lost SEAF Training Facility on Vernen Wells, there has to be a pretty good chance that if we save the kids we get it back online. And I'd rather have a universal boost to planetary liberation than mines I'll probably try out once and never use again until a Personal Order requires it. How often do you use the mines we already have? How often do you see anyone use them? On the other hand a boost to planetary liberation rates is useful all the time for everyone....including on whatever Major Order we eventualy get to finally get the mines down the line. Save the kids! It's not only the moral thing, it's also probably the more practical one too!

@@SaltyNerdGaming Still waiting on an armour passive like 'Rifleman' That could add 2 extra mags to any primary and secondary weapons and give the recoil stance reduction, 2 extra mags with say a plasma punisher or the grenade pistol would be awesome, and finally be a passive that can replace the engineers kit passive I use most. But better stim tech is well more important for my longevity as I run ultra-light armour, maybe longer lasting stims, or something like that, an auto-injector so you don't have to wait on the sometimes buggy animation to finish would also be a life saver.

We need better weapons to fight Bots. More plasma weapons would be nice- and ACID GUNS because bullets just bounce off! Also I think the GM probably has something hidden behind those kids that's awesome. We should probably save the kiddos

Save the kids! I like fighting both. I probably prefer bugs to some degree due to the ability to mow down a massive wave of them with the machine gun and I freaking love killing a bile titan with a 500 kg. BUT bots have really grown on me a lot. I play both and typically cycle both and emphasize whatever side is part of the major order. I’ve been focusing the major order since I started but I’ve come to enjoy fighting both and the different play style much more over time. I also love taking a tank out with an orbital strike! So satisfying :)

It bears stating that while I also jump over to bugs when there is a major order for bugs they also cannot be ignored. Also I still blame Playstation for neutering SEAF. We lost a goodly number of players during that debacle plus players we were destined to lose to boredom. My stance is firm on this order. Call me a white knight but I am defending Super Earth citizens. That is my job. I am also excited about the possibility to stealth in with throwing knives.

Why choose when we can save both the kids and anti tank mines? Democracy protects everyone equally, even mines. In fact, we should focus on saving the children first so that we can send them to youth contribution centers (mines/ sweatshops). (I like marfark more, absolutely hate vernen wells terrain.)

Going for the Children. We know the consequences of not having the mines from previous war reports (the bots had an easier time conquering planets) but the fact we arent being directly told the consequences of abandoning the children probably means that there are important and significant consequences that they dont want to tell us or spoil. I think these children are going to be really important, either for morale/support of the helldivers and workers for the assembly lines; or the as major PR for dissident propaganda that helldivers prioritize weapons over human lives.

My favorite bot loadout: -medium armor -your favorite main weapon (lately I’ve been having a blast with the breaker spray and pray) -impact grenades (when you need to kill a devastators or mini walker fast) -Redeemer machine pistol (shreds a bot that gets too close really quickly without having to be precise) -Eagle 500 kg -Orbital Precision OR Orbital Laser OR Eagle Cluster (depends on difficulty and mission. The 500 and original precision are excellent for walkers and tanks and incredibly satisfying to use. The orbital laser is an excellent panic button) -Autocannon (this thing is freaking amazing. Shreds most bots quickly. I pretty much use it for all devastators. Takes out fabricators from a far if aligned with the vent. Lots of ammo. Kills gunships well too) -Mortar Sentry (do not underestimate how many enemies this thing will kill for you when placed well. The mortar has made bot missions MUCH more manageable and fun for me and it’s got a pretty quick cooldown. Set this up outside a bot base or objective or set it up near an enemy patrol before they drop or down when they get a flare called off bringing in reinforcements. It’s also good at pounding hulks and tanks and striders for you.)

I think I'll try running a Pyromaniac build against the bugs. -Breaker Incendiary -Grenade Pistol -Incendiary Impact -Napalm Strike -Flamethrower -Incendiary Mines -Either Supply or Jump Pack Probably run it Solo the first couple times to work out the kinks and avoid to much collateral damage

I wonder if reworking the mines to function similarly to StarCraft 2 widow mines would be a good fix. Allied units don't trigger them but can still get caught in the splash damage. Whether or not the mine remains on the ground or goes full rip-off mode where the payload is fired at an enemy, I don't know which would be more fun, but at least respecting friendly units might really help. It could be rebranded as a suicidal drone or something since drones are hot right now. Oh my god, random thought! Laser grid fence ala Congo. Love that movie.

Joined a quick play yesterday and put me in teams ship, they proceed to start a helldive automatons. Absolutely got blown pillar to post but somehow managed to extract 8 deaths later, yet 2 people on the team didn't die once. Spent most the game being blown thru the air. Never again without the shield backpack

For the bugs i go Flamethrower, Guard Dog, countersniper and machine pistol... the guarddog and pistol helps with the tiny bugs when they swarm if they get close.. but the flamethrower and guard dog always takes care of everything.... I'll start taking the stuns though... that one's helpful
