I feel like it should be suppressed, have slightly better handling, and have medium penetration to make it viable, at least at range. Being weak in close quarters is the point of the gun, but it needs to actually have strengths to make it worthwhile.

Been doing some testing and it does have a low sound profile. I'm able to take out bots guarding a spot. Their companions won't notice as long as your target is not in the line of sight of their companion.

@@ryanvacation7319 well, that’s something, at least. My opinion on it has changed due to testing of my own, however. The tiny increase in damage between the Diligence and DCS does literally nothing. It should do something. With the kind of shit handling it has, it *needs* to one tap devastators, and right now it can’t.

@@vizcaa and they gave it the one thing that I have come to realize it didn’t need. The entire purpose of the DCS is sniping, but it doesn’t have the damage output to snipe effectively. It doesn’t need medium penetration because the whole point is that you snipe weak points. It needs more damage and fixed scope alignment.

Diligence Counter Snipe Rifle is bad. I'd make a video of me going against bugs, but I can't matchmake at difficulty 8+ because of the servers. I figured a video doing difficulty 4 or 5 wouldn't do this one justice.

This is the only gun in the game that confuses me there is like no real place for it. its unwieldy and doesnt make up for itself in terms of damage the 50 extra meters on the scope doesnt really matter, I have to run some more tests but jesus this thing is just kinda... bad

Can’t really pick off targets better than the regular model. Even troopers still take the same amount of hits regardless of part. Damage and Pen buff would probably be prudent considering how much more overwhelming other options are.

Looks pretty powerful, I'm close to unlocking it for myself to give it a go. I think I'll just pair it with the Stalwart and TMP for close encounter against bugs.

Not really. To save you time, at least until a balance update, the Liberator Penetrator and the Scorcher are both better "sniper" weapons. Diligence Counter has a scope but it ain't worth it unless your team is solid.

As much everybody advise me not to use this I’m able to support my team decently well against devasters, commissar, and regular troops from afar so they can’t do support for their side But in high level bugs I find myself swarm consistently so I don’t use it unless it like difficult 4-5 Downside is the inconsistent accuracy of this gun sometime Or it just my aim but I have the scope dead locked on a devaster head hit it once and than the second shot for no obsolete reason hit just below he head striking the armor despite already waiting for the recoil to settle and locked again on his head noting that he stop moving and only just turn around and I get pin down by his machine gun What I personally think is that it should have a much higher multiplier to weak spot than adding penetration to some enemies around medium range if you hit them in the head or limbs and maybe the bugs sacks Because penetration is what the rail gun for That my take on it using it

Anti Material Rifle is the only sniper rifle in the game. Next up is the Railgun. Then the Liberator Penetrator. Then Diligence Counter if you want to make the game challenging. Scorcher if you are a sniper and can do without a scope. Honestly, it's that bad.

I immediately regretted unlocking this weapon and using it against bugs. Went back to regular Diligence after 1 match.

Give it another shot and be pickier with your targets. It's better than the Diligence. You'll learn where it shines and how heavy it is.

Do you still run the counter sniper in your load out? I really want to use it but getting over run with it is not fun at all.

That's the problem with it. There is no counter to being overran. Bring teammates or don't run it, and hopefully, teammates can keep the small bugs away.

Use Jump Pack, find a position at height and cover teammates from afar

@@gorgeousgeorge7104 Disagree. It's better against bugs. Just hard when they get close. For close targets you have to "throw" the bullet since the character's aim is slow. Against most bots it does literally nothing.

I don't understand the point of this gun. It has lower damage per clip than the non sniper version and doesn't even have better penetration.

@@finbasee3661not necessarily. The later versions of the same weapons are worse *for general use* And for the breakers case, the Breaker Spray and Pray in the second to last warbond tier is straight up the single worst weapon ive ever used in any video game ive ever played

@@finbasee3661 Regular does close to the same damage, and has more ammo, and also has way better handling, so regular diligence is quite a bit better in general use close and long range, it has a min sight of 25m and a maximum of 150m zoom. It handles much better, its faster to react to your movements, and will track more closely with your crosshair, and is much simpler to control when firing or switching targets. It can also 2 shot kill devastators to the head, and tear up berserkers if you're accurate, the counter sniper can do that too, and more consistently at range because it has slightly higher damage and I think it has slightly better armour pen, but if enemies get close its not the best weapon to have. The mag size is reduced from 20 to 15, so you have 5 less shots, your fire rate is slower, and you also reload much slower, that on top of aiming the thing feels kind of like you're holding a 30lb rifle, its minimum scope is also 50m, so that makes first person a bad choice in close contact. Its not per say a bad gun, its just not offering enough to justify its downside, unless you get a super wide open map with little cover, or low difficulty.
