The dev video talking about the changes said that the new Jump Pack is basically the same as the Dark Fluid jetpack, but just from a few jumps you can tell it isn't true, you don't get nearly as much height. It's still amazingly good now though, you can wear it with heavy armor (which also got buffed this patch) and never fall behind your teammates when going cross-country. I've only tried it out a couple times so far, but map traversal is so much faster with this thing, you can even do stuff like scale hills to evade pursuers.

it doesn't feel quite the same, no damage on liftoff either tho I guess that's fair enough. Using it with heavy armour is a good shout actually, will have to try it next time!

@LordKelvinX2086 Agreed, no way it goes as high as the dark fluid version. It barely reaches the height of the old one if you dont press w mid-air. To me, the best part is the random mid-air ragdolls I'm getting when your legs hit an obstacle. I freesbee spin faceplanted into POI fences so many times now. Also, mid-air zaps from a nearby tesla tower are hilarious.

I find it so good with a EAT or Quasar against titans like when they do the poison breath you just jump then shoot your EAT or Quasar. same with hunter packs just boost away then spray em down. Very good backpack now up there with supply pack for me in S-tier

My favorite thing to do with the jetpack is ready a stratagem and then use the jetpack and throw it at the highest point. You get a lot more distance that way.

Something I've realised once I started playing the game after watching a bit of videos like this is that the most arcane of all arts in this game is how to drop somewhere that isn't in the middle of an enemy object where someone immediately calls a drop on you before you even really emerge from pods :/

2:36 What previously made the legs the go-to for chargers was fixed. It takes about twice the time to kill them that way as opposed to cooking the faces now.

AFAIK you press reload and jump around the same time, can't remember which needs to go first though.

When I write No Deaths, I mean no personal deaths - when it's the whole team that goes deathless, I call it Team Deathless. I could write No Personal Deaths in the title / thumbnail but it would be too long.
