Dropping in with just a jetpack is one of my new favorite ways to play. Scavenging a weapon on the map makes every game unique and memorable.

I don't really have the guts to do this most games, but when I do it is fun if I manage to find a weapon, even just a double barrel shotgun. I find the best middleground for this playstyle is running EATs. Having an EAT means I am not naked if I run into a heavy, and I still have my primary and secondary which can deal with most threats short of heavies. But then, if I do find a support weapon, I can drop my EAT for it and rest easy not having the EAT because the EAT has such a short cooldown that I can call it in again if I need it.

@@T1cksandLeeches because I remember a time when thermite grenades weren't as good as they are today. Also, not everyone has the demo warbond, the people who do have the demo warbond may not have had as much time practicing their grenade throws (I whiff mine sometimes), and the thermite grenade can take some time to do its work. On top of this, I really like the standard hand grenades. I always liked the utility of being able to cook them even before the damage buff, but now they're incredibly powerful and surprisingly slept on. They've gotten me out of some serious jams. I do run thermite grenades in chaff clear loadouts though and I like using them.

Can you do something with smoke grenades? Ive been on my own solo missions journey recently and they have been a hard crutch for dissapearing from the bots. They get alerted by the smoke grenade pop but will prioritise sentrys. Cant see you in smoke but fire on where they think you are based on last seen position and last gunshot.

For me, the most effective stratagems would be something like: Eagle Airstrike, 380mm Barrage, Jetpack and Quasar/Railgun. When it comes to weapons: DCS/Scorcher/Purifier, Redeemer and Thermite Grenade. Armor: Infiltrator.

What’s your thought process for each eagle stratagem you took with you? What was your plan going in to best utilize each one most effectively?

The Airstrike is a very versatile stratagem to clear groups, bot factories and some other objectives too. While the thermite can blow up those objectives too, the Scout armors excel at being quick on the move and away from large clusters of enemies. Taking them out from afar with the Airstrike is a good and safe option. The Strafing Run has been buffed quite substantially to clear even heavy foes like Devastators and sometimes Hulks. The Half-Ton is a fan favourite but also the best answer you will have to Factory Striders and tanks when going Eagle only. Since Sarge can't give up his addiction to the jetpack [I can't either] he has no support weapons with him, meaning his choice of Eagles need to cover the most threats he can potentially face.
