Scout is mandatory for stealth, it’s so good. If you understand stealth mechanics you’d be surprised what you can get away with. In night missions you can crawl up to 10 meters close to enemies before you get spotted. Also enemies do not spread awareness of you if you 1 tap them (though enemies will investigate sound) A separate note is that melee damage is silent

2:00 - Not sure the "Fortified" passive is useless on bug missions. The bug's acid attacks count as "explosive" damage (Bile Titan, Bile Spewer, Nursing Spewer...). Also, with bugs, bugs get in your face. And if you're a maroon like myself, you'll end up shooting them danger close with some type of explosive weapon like the XBow or Eruptor.

I’m a servo-assisted devotee, and I can attest that the increased grenade throwing distance is an absolute boon. After enough practice, instinct starts to kick in and you can land stratagems and grenades with uncanny accuracy. You even get a sixth sense for cooking grenades so they detonate on or near impact Servo-assisted is the spellcaster armor of Helldivers 2, and it does its job well.

I agree, I played with servo-assisted for the longest time. It's really nice to be able to snipe things with your orbitals from far away and just enjoy the destruction from your safe spot. It took me a while to throw my stratagems right after switching armor passive, I had to learn to walk closer to my target.

You take more explosive damage from stratagems and your own weapons/teams weapons, so 50% resistance isn't useless vs any faction for that fact.. Especially when you bring the crossbow or grenade launcher.. So stop yapping!

L take on the Engineering perk. Before Siege Ready that was probably the top most used perk in the game. Especially on the bug side. Before the changes made to Bots. Fortified perk was almost necessary every mission. Even more so on higher difficulties. Scout perk is good especially for solo play.

Engineering kit is made irrelevant by the grenade pistol and crossbow. Bring one of those weapons, and you can take med-kit or fortified and get the handling bonus, plus the "grenade" shots for spawners, plus extra stims or explosive resistance. Now that I think about it, crossbow plus stim pistol plus fortified or siege ready armor is probably the most meta build you could take. The only possible reason I could see for taking Engineering kit is if you really wanted to make a build around the special grenades like stun, gas, or thermite.

Fun fact: Bug bile is classified as explosive in the game files, so running armor with the fortified passive gives you 50% resistance to Bug bile damage, which can be helpful on nuke missions and raise the flag missions where there's 100% chance of the "big bug" constatation

Scout passive is so good. Even if not using stealth tactics, the radar ping for map markers is great for checking out areas of interest from afar and pre-planning your angle of attack. Really underrated passive IMO. It's a particular lifesaver when running missions on planets where there is crappy visibility due to storms etc.

Ya, putting scout in D is just wrong. I'm not even a stealth player, but it's effect is incredibly noticeable and if you ever have a load out that you don't want to be agro'd, it's a nice pick. Any weapon where you want to engage mid to long range with will benefit from scout armor.

Personally, I’d put peak physique in maybe A or B, because while the handling buff is amazing, the melee damage buff doesn’t see a lot of use. Your melee attack speed tends to be slower than most melee enemies, and you’d probably still get more kills per second by just using your ranged weapon(s).

3:36 They have it in all three types of Armor and it has good level of protection and speed in light it gives you full speed with medium protection in medium like the light BUT in heavy you feel like a tank I took an Automation Canon directly to my chest and all i did get was chest hemorrhage and about 70% damage, in my opinion i like to have more speed to dodge but some times you need to make a stand, heavy armor with extra padding is for that role

@C-Vite most people only use grenades for clearing spawners. The grenade pistol gives you 7 shots normally and 9 with siege ready. The crossbow gives you 40 shots or 50 with siege ready. Unless you're running a grenade loadout centered around one of the special grenades, there's no reason to take engineering kit.

Scout armor is easily S tier on bots front , especially when solo. Slip into fortress, blow it up under 2 minute then jump pack away. Reinforce can only eat your dirt. Patrol? Sneak pass them by crouching like a boss, like Big Boss. Yep you are essentially playing Metal Gear Solid now. Edit: It basically eliminates like half the chance of triggering reinforcement, if you know what you're doing. On other front, yep it's not that great, but one hidden bonus is, enemies will prioritize your teammates instead of you, you will have more breathing room.

a few days ago when we had to capture and hold one of the jungle planets I just dropped in and the team was in a firefight, I hid near a tree and a patrol just passed me by, like 2 meters away and started shooting at my mates. proceeded to unload my adjudicator in their backs, because, Democracy :D so yeah, Scout armor is pretty cool :D

I feel like inflammable needs more fire damage resistance, like the conduit one. Especially since fire is used the most against bugs, and often they can set you on fire, or slow you down so you set yourself on fire. the 75% can help, but fire does SO much damage, I feel like that passive needs to give more protection. I struggle to part with scout armor though. I love that detection reduction. It helps you escape easier, and if you're like me, where even in a team, you split off and do other objectives alone, while the rest of the team does other stuff, it's amazing. You don't need to do a PURE stealth run for it to be helpful. If you're an aggro player who shoots everything on sight, then it's not that helpful. But when you're one who doesn't feel the need to attack every patrol or small groups at side objectives, it's great. I love that scout passive.

Engineering in C is pure insanity. Yeah it doesn't raise your grenade restocks.. But there are grenade boxes all over the map, ESPECIALLY in City maps, like holy damn. This way you can hold more. But honestly you made a good point, I might switch up, but I don't need any other passive on Squids cause Squids just don't demand enough meta choices. Electrical Conduit can smd, KZbinr saying you need it on Squids are absolutely fucking insane. Tesla towers are predictable, Harvesters deal low damage and Harvester only zap you when you approach slowly, from the front and in a straight line.

Titles from warbonds should give that warbonds passive. A few warbonds would need to be revisited giving actual titles and passives. Titles should only be given at the completion of the warbond.

I’ve crouch walked right up next to a hulk before and never once turned around. You can run around a fortress without the machine gun little guys even noticing you. Bugs not so much, but for bots, there is no better passive

The servo assisted armor passive is insanely good. For bots , i use the AMR and barrage call ins and wipe the map. I don't even need to go into basses anymore. I just toss my stratagems from across the map before anyone else gets close to the objectives. I just got a 1000+ kill game with that load out.

Scout armor was an L take. Playing stealthy isnt a requirement its really good for playing fast. Because you lose aggro much faster/easier whem you break line of sight. Or you could just drop a turret which attracts aggro while youre heading to the next objective and due to lower detection distance you dont have to worry about being chased. The scan is good for finding diamonds on the map without the uav booster because you just place pings on the map and see if theres groups of static enemies which means theres a diamond or secondary objectice.

To me, the game has gotten to a point that you can run whatever passive and still be very effective, suit up to your place style, in the long run doesnt matter what armor is in what tier, just do the mission as best you can. The tier list still gives a good idea what's usually a safe pick, if your're not sure what direction you wanna go in.

The 50% acid reduction + 50% fire reduction + shield generator backpack basically lets me face tank Bile Titans with a flame thrower. xD The fire res is kinda nice if something jumps at me causing the fire to spread to the floor. Also during bile spewers I can exchange more comfortably. Being able to fight with more "space" to DPS and not have to constantly dive away is nice.

@BurnemThorne you also have many grenade alternatives with the crossbow and grenade pistol. Most people only use their grenades for spawner clearing. Why get two extra grenades when I could get 7 or 40 from those two weapons (which bumps up to 9 and 50 with siege ready). The engineering kit might've been s or a tier when the game launched, but new additions have rendered it useless. Just bring one of those two weapons and fortified or med-kit if you want the handling bonus

Democracy protects isn't meant for you to do crazy stuff like stand under a mini nuke. You CAN though. Which no other armor in the game can do. Honestly its almost on par with 50% damage resist to explosives with as often as it pops off. And it applies to every single damage type in the game. While less likely to save you from things like acid and fire due to the damage over time effect, it can still happen. It can also save you from your teammates as well. If you run that armor with the mindset of playing normally, its pretty good. As half the time you SHOULD die, you just don't. Allowing for a quick stim and moving on. And if you are bleeding and out of stims, it can buy you enough time to call down a resupply or have a teammate reach you. Something that would normally be a straight up death sentence is just put on hold indefinitely. Which while niche, just saying "No You" to bleeding out is pretty baller. While the memes are funny, if you aren't trying to rig the jackpot, its not a bad armor to run. Just don't be an idiot and it will save you more often than not. Or if you get really lucky, you just straight up become unkillable. Personal streak was 5 consecutive hits with a completely empty health bar. Though I have see some people get up to 8.

The B-08 LIGHT GUNNER provides extra padding in the light armor version...it was available in the super store, it's mostly what I use for bots....medium armor protection with the movement of light armor 👊🏾❤

It's just me or I think 30% less recoil is better than handling? I'd prefer engineering armour over peak physic one. Also scout armour helps not only paying stealth - you can complete objectives much more easier. Fortified armour is S tier for bots and bugs (at ICBM missions for example). There is a extra padding light armour. Idk... Your rating feels wrong 🤣🤣🤣 I know it's your opinion.

As a few have already said, all bile damage from the bugs is 100% explosive damage, I usually use this on bug missions, especially if it's going to be a spewer seed, it is invaluable at keeping you alive when 4 of those green bastards are barfing at you. In terms of bot missions, rockets from all bot enemies are actually split between ballistic damage and explosive damage, so fortified doesn't actually protect you completely from rockets. I use it on bots as well, but I usually go with engineer for more thermites. This is a long winded way of saying that Fortified is actually more effective against bugs than bots, in certain cases. @AzureIV I'm honestly not sure about that. I've seen several times that the bile spew itself counts as explosive. My guess would be that it's like automaton rockets, part explosive and part ballistic. But I don't know for sure. That's a good question

I solo a lot. engineer with gas grenades really helps a lot for bugs and squids. Or I run medkit if I’m carrying a supply pack. I use fortified for bots. Fortified is nice for bugs when soloing if you’re using crossbow or grenade launcher. You are eventually going to get swarmed. Being able to face tank your own explosion will prevent deaths.

I think you're underestimating the practicality of Scout. It makes resource collecting much easier (which you should be doing anyway if you're running it). The stealth is great for clearing the minor POIs and side objective without getting enemy attention, and allows you to get away much easier in the case you do get spotted, which can also help draw attention away from the rest of your team.

In my opinion, Light armor for bugs being any engineer grenade set or the reload set. For bots it will be heavy armor that helps reduce impacts/explosions or the reload buff. Illuminate is medium armor, this one varies the most imo, so stims or impact/explosion reduction/extrapadding, +2 grenades. The "special" armors that reduce fire or electric resistance is if you specifically, are playing with a known group and are all using one of those types of weapons that way you can go full tilt with a electric or flame guns and strats build.

I always ran light engineering vs. bugs and medium explosive resist (B-24 Enforcer my beloved) vs. bots. Now with the squids, I run light siege ready. With the new acclimated passive, I run light acclimated vs. bugs to deal with bug acid and I can now run plenty of fire and gas against them (which is great against bugs). If they nerf siege ready, I will use acclimated against squids as well.

I use Servo-Assisted a lot specially against Automatons. Being able to throw further eagles, orbital bombardments, sentries and thermite grenades increase my survivability significantly. It also allows me to further drop sentries behind enemies or bases where it may be hard to reach. I highly recommend this armor perk (in a heavy armor) against automatons and in some destroy missions for the bugs :)

It's the opposite for Scout Passive for me. It's super helpful if you wanna finish the mission swiftly without caring about kill counts. Pair it with jet pack and you'll be God like. The marker is useful for evading. It's basically a stealth mission if wearing the scout armor Definitely an S tier

I like running the Arc Protection vs illuminate because those friggin enemy Tesla towers can easily 1-hit you otherwsie. Flying right above an enemy Tesla tower while using a jetpack really sucks. By the time you see / hear it, it's already too late

You miss the point of Scout. It is not only about "stealth" run, it is about intel. The amount of time I use the ping to obtain intel on a point of interest so my mates know what offensive stratagems is better to use saves us time like hell. Also useful to ping the way you’re taking in advance to not get surprised with what you are doing.

scout passive just allows you to not fight unnecessary patrols and do most bot objectives like orbital cannons and jammers safer+solo. There were a lot of instances in my games with randoms that i did 3-4 orbital cannons solo without fighting a single bot while they were doing other objectives and it is not even a hard thing to do

Man I might be crazy but I'm gonna have to give some push back on my boy Engineering Kit. I agree it's a bummer the supply packs don't give you more than 2 nades per tap. But through exploring the map you run into grenade pickups AND often times there is just a stray supply pickup or 2 laying around at a spot that everyone has already left, so you can double or even triple tap it. Between those two sources of grenades I really do feel it makes it at LEAST into A tier. Idk. It's my go-to default armor unless I'm running something more niche. Not to mention that recoil reduction, just icing on the cake. My personal S tier.

ok, I need to talk about the fortified passive and how its S tier and amazing on bugs. It says explosive damage, which means friendly and your own damage, so it allows you to fire a crossbow at closer ranges and avoid taking massive damage from it while it which leads to avoiding massive damage from bugs that get too close to you Edit: ok,I need to talk about the 50%. Its a safe coin flip, you would die anyway BUT you didn't, Also, it feels like more then 50 cause I always survive the first time and a lot of times it saves me for many times in a row. Once I survive on 1 HP for a whole minute of taking damage and managed to get a ressuply to heal Edit2: I should have whatched everything first lol. So, the scout. Its amazing for solo and for a support for the team. You can ping around to look for enemy movement and see patrols around the map. Now the new passive with 50% resistence on all elements. FIRST: its the only armor that give resistence to ACID, which is the attack element of the bugs, SO, you can tank a Bile Titan and Spewer. It also allow you to use Gas orbital with flamethrower

Democracy protects is the best armor i got blown super high by a exploding tank then survived the fall, ive also seen people survive like 6 times while getting shot by another player a traitor and managed to kill them. DEMOCRACY PROTECTS

Unflinching pretty good when using the RR i would up it to A tier. Electrical conduit is S-A tier illuminati since harvesters, observer and (illuminati) Tesla Tower (best version since it doesn't target it's allies). Im not an expert on democracy protects but i don't think it has an internal CD. Inflammable is amazing for bug and illuminati missions. It can allow for some pretty dumb plays to happen. Ive called napalm barrage on myself to clear overrun objectives/extractions.

I think acclimated is strictly better than the other ones against the bugs & illuminate. As long as you are doing one of then other damage types Bugs do acid damage all the time, illuminates do electrical damage If you are bringing flamethrower against either faction chances are this helps you more often then the one type protection armors

Explosive reduction is the best damage reduction on all fronts. Bile acids count as explosive damage. Stalker tongue counts as explosive damage.

Unfortunately the Squids don't do Explosive Damage beyond their grenades.

Stealth is not your playstyle so you were a bit harsh on the scout armor. I use it exclusively on bots, along with the jet pack, to ensure that I am the one that initiates (most of) my engagements. Fighting only fights I am sure to win, avoiding the rest. Works very well.

the coin flip feels like a cheat everytime it protects you just dont understand why you didnt just die. Like when a charger tramples you walks all over you and shoots you 100 ft in the air land in a bug nest get swarmed by bugs while youre still in ragdoll so spam the dive button to body surf over the crowd run away and stim. Or when your survive getting shot three time in a row by a factory stryder. it feels more like it gives you time windows of immunity and if you take multiple lethal hits in succesion while in that window you survive anything.

personal opinion scout only good if you want to go for stealth unflinching you may not get staggered out of the stim animation but thats it if you feel like you get staggered a lot then that armor perk can help engi kit if you us thermite or in general us nades a lot its good but only getting the reduced spread and recoil when cruching or laying down isnt my favorite part the element passives are in general not my favorites i like the all in one from the killzone armors arc is mainly good against fish people fire if you us a lot of fire weapons and gas well rare to see people using gas and since they reworked and nerfed its damage you can just walk gas off unless you go for a gas warrior build servo passiv was my favorite because of the throw range and not getting a broken arm that fast on bug front was on the ground breaker before being changed to engi kit democrasy protects fun in pvp with friends and if you like to gable with your live fortified best armor passive against higher diffecult bots and team mates using mortars peak physic sadly never tried it because i dont like the armor designs medic for people who need more blue vision for maximum democrasy siege ready love it the extra ammo is just chef kiss and still working on support weapons for jsut 1 more mag mostly is just lovely i hope one day they allow us to us passivs on different armors i have a lot of armors that i like the design of but not its effect wish we could switch them out without having to change our look

Immediate dislike after C placement for Engineering Kit. I agree about the grenade restock issue, but the recoil reduction is massive for high fire rate weapons.

I agree except I think peak physique and engineering kit both go in B. I LOVE peak physique but it isn’t nearly as useful as med kit and siege ready, and the melee passive is useless unless you build into it, so it’s also niche. I think you’re underselling engineering kit because, just like extra padding, it’s always good no matter what front you’re on and it doesn’t require a build to be good. The recoil reduction isn’t as nice as peak physique but it’s still good for hitting targets at range and the extra grenades are the cherry on top that makes the armor really versatile and useful everywhere.

Hey man live the video. Would only not agree with the gas armor. Used it a lot for a while and in my experience enemies go from destroying you to rarely hitting you at all if you run around in anything other than a straight line. Also the gas doesn’t slow you anymore and it’s amazing for the grenades specifically because when your being rushed and your dead for sure you can just throw a gas nade down and then have plenty of time to get out. Also the multipurpose armor as you kind of mentioned is amazing if like me you only play with randoms and have no real clue what people will use and how good their aim is

Inflammable got a bad wrap. I think you got to factor planets with hell tornadoes. Definitely make it superior to the arch and gas because of that. There's no lighting of gas planets yet.

The 50% explosive dmg resist is misleading. Against Bots the majority of the dmg you take from a rocket hit is ballistic, NOT explosive. It's basically just a big bullet. They reduced the explosive AOE for rockets and missiles dramatically, so it's very rare to take a lethal hit from the explosive dmg. You're dying to the ballistic dmg. In terms of survivability, the best armor is actually Extra Padding. It effectively doubles the Health Booster bonus.

Bile from spewers and bile titans is explosive damage. Thus the fortified passive works great on bugs missions. 50% limb health doesn’t make your limbs have more health. It simply raises the limb break threshold. Lastly, scout armor passive…it’s infinitely useful if you know what you are doing. It’s not splinter cell, it’s guerrilla warfare, which are different at their core. If you don’t know what weapons enemies react to and how, how detections works, then I see it being useless and even more so damaging to one’s experience. But saying it’s D tier is like saying that smoke grenades are useless.

Lot of bad takes, acclimated passive is the only means of getting damage reduction against terminid acid in game, and most teams will have someone bringing a elemental weapon against terminids because the elemental weapons/strategems have good horde clear. Engineering passive’s extra grenades have more value than you give them credit for and should pull that armor to at least b tier as extra resources are never a negative. Scout passive is pretty strong, you have one player in scout armor and 3 players not wearing it allows scout player to do objectives unhindered bc the shorter spotting range ensures enemies focus the other teammates even when in very close range of the enemy.

Some feedback: can you actually show your tier list while you're talking? You spent 90% of the video looking at the bottom of your diagram. It's hard to keep up with the comparisons of what you're talking about when your tier list is only on the screen for a couple seconds over the course of 20 minutes.
