Man, the comeback they made. They went from the most played game of the year during easter to then nearly ruined by Sony, then took massive backlash from it's community for the gameplay changes and then somehow won them all back and became hype right at the end of the year. The devs really have worked over time to do this. They truly deserve it.

Ruined by Sony?, literally Sony made the game possible, without Sony this IP would not exist, much of the credit goes to them and it is obvious that the PSN issue is as normal as logging into Microsoft account playing Sea of Thieves in PS5, where surprisingly no one had any complaints.

Games like among us, lethal company, helldivers 2, content warning, black ops 6, marvel rivals and so many more have defeated it during their respective times. Just because it’s relevant doesn’t mean it’s the best. COD has always been relevant for 20+ years but as we all know, each game has fallen very far away from being the best at the time(except black ops 6).

It’s that it’s done SO much in short time that allowed them to win this award. If you’ve followed the game you’d know they’ve had MAD set backs. Fixed everything (mostly), added new weapons, armors, skins and enemies. THEN after receiving this dropped the dopest expansion that was immediately available. Can’t hate 🤷‍♂️
