Binging Helldivers 1 videos and I can confidently say after a few videos that a single HD1 soldier can easily 1v4 and their entire reinforcements. The weapons, cooldowns, and strategems back then are just so much better honestly. We really be working with spare change and a hammer in HD2 when comparing back.

If you're referring to this particular mission, then you're very wrong on the "easily" part. This was a handicapped solo RS without using LIFT, Shield or Static, and was really hard. I haven't even seen anyone else do it. From what I've heard from several vets now and watched a lot of videos, HD2 seems to be easier than HD1. So buffing HD2 weapons makes no sense, it would lose all the challenge.

@@keyman245 Thanks. That's the thing with HD when everything goes to plan and you succeed. You've nailed every step of the way down to the smallest details, like managing ammo and strat cooldowns in the ongoing wave so you're not screwed when the next wave comes, memorizing the spawns so you don't get surrounded by dropping enemies etc, for 40+ minutes. It LOOKS easy, but is brutally difficult. I guess it speaks for itself that for a soon 10 year old game, only a handful of people have managed to solo RS15s. And that's with optimal loadouts, not handicapped ones.

@@mikasahd I played Helldivers once, with the lowest resolution because my computer can't handle (I'm gonna play again like that 🙏) And I can say for sure what you did was insane. I myself couldn't solo a easy level because I was always ambushed or the bugs always got to me. So I can say truly, congrats for the achievement because that is INSANE,

Thanks! Since I had already soloed this a month after A New Hell was released, I was only interested in seeing if it could be done with a pure fighting loadout without backpack items and aoe strats like Static, Thunderer, Mines, etc. The Rumbler is there to take out the first warlords of a wave so they won't have the chance to fill the map so much that I wouldn't have space to move around anymore.

@@mikasahd So I only watched a few minutes this morning, tried getting through it now, but it's pretty repetitive. ;p The selective fire of the rumbler is a definite advantage over airstrikes it seems; being able to control the waves with your leftover hulks which provide a good window for reloading. I'd almost say I could do it this way :3 37:17 This is probably how my game ends up looking though XD
