Frollo is actually the villain I find most frightening, because his character is actually very lifelike, and very close to how some people respond to power. The film has so many themes that are extremely important, even now - which is why this was and is one of my favourites. Hellfire is such a powerful song, absolutely amazing - and the lyrics are chilling.

Many say he is the most evil, but to me the horn king is the most evil disney villian purely because Frollo did evil things for a cause where as the Horn King, he did evil things not just for a goal but because he enjoyed it, also Frollo only appriciates those who side with him and the horn king.....he doesn't care if your loyal or a traitor he would kill you if it meant getting to his goal and when he does raise his army of the dead, he no longer has need for mortal followers since the dead can always be replaced as a walking skeleton

ambob I’m not at all denying that. I agree that a tenor hitting those lower notes is impressive,; I was just pointing out that the piece was designed for a baritone. And yes, all the vocal ranges overlap, but baritones aren’t typically capable of going to those higher notes without a falsetto like true tenors can and vice versa with low notes. To be honest though considering his speaking voice is a baritone, and that he can hit those lower notes - I have my doubts as to whether he is really a tenor

Hellfire is my all time favourite Disney villain song, so I've watched literally all of its covers on KZbin, but only a few can truly grasp the essence and the feelings this song wants to convey. I was really happy to see that you performed it with the exact same passion, longing and denial Claude Frollo was feeling towards Esmeralda. Subscribed because of the amazing performance! Keep up the good work. 👏
@instinctbrosgaming96994 жыл бұрын
There's a lot of compositional nuance in this song that makes it stand out among most villain songs in Disney. The song starts in Bb Major, but in the first verse after what could be described as the first stanza it modulates to D Major, which shows Claude Frollo's intense measures he takes for ideas of holiness but how far he is from attaining it, as a modulation this early is very uncommon. The next stanza, it goes into G Minor where we begin to see Frollo's desperation. When the first chorus begins, the first part stays in G Minor, but the second half modulates to D Minor. It's truly one of the most intense Disney songs in terms of classical harmony. On top of that, there's a lot of interesting occurrences in the chants. When Frollo sings "God have mercy on her" the choir in the background chants "Kyrie eleison" which is a part of the Latin Mass that literally translates to "God have mercy". There's tons of Easter eggs in this that makes it one of the best I've heard.

Just one bit of my imagination: Imagine Josh Groban singing a version of this song? It would be really frightening. This is because he has already done a version of the song "Evermore" on the 2017 remake of "Beauty and the Beast", and there he sounded really good. So that's what I think.

The most scary thing about frollo is that he is not only real and meant to be someone who people turn to for (justice) he is the person with all of the power and he is just complete evil, with no magical powers or anything and yet he is someone people turn to when there completely vulnerable but he is still definitely one of my favourite Disney villains but he is definitely the scariest in a very REAL way

They may have Disney helping them, because they took laser measurements and/or LIDAR. I'm not sure, it's been so long that I looked into that.

@@terkavasen Oh, sorry, my bad. I admit I have not been paying attention to the rebuilding. It has not reached our news, but I will definitely start watching periodically on the project. Thank you so much for the clear vocals!!! I have been struggling to find one for the past couple of days! I understand you say it wasn't tuned or anything but I need something for reference when it came to the rhythm of the vocal part, so I can fix that (I planned on altering certain harmonies and rhythms here and there anyway). But, I can finally arrange this!!! Just gotta thank you again "Gabriel Brown or Black Gryph0n"!!!

I like the fact that Frolo send that guard away after the shocking report and just continue his song instead of taking immediate actions cuz that song was very, very important to him
@saklee17773 жыл бұрын
the love this song. i miss disney being this good. i love how the choir is singing a prayer confessing their sins and frollo refuses to confess his sins and blames esmeralda. and how the guard that comes in is symbolic and its like God giving frollo a 2nd chance to repent and to give up on esmeralda but frollo refuses and goes deeper into sin.

Hellfire is much darker. Yeah Scar is singing about offing his brother but Frollo is like “either we bang or you burn to death.” And Hellfire really really did an amazing job with expressing Frollo’s confection with his feeling for Esmeralda
