Hey man, I've been introduced to you because of the Eternal controversy and got excited when you mentioned that you made a Doom / Prime mashup. I uphold Metroid Prime's Title Screen theme as one of the best pieces of music in gaming, definitely at least in terms of its sound design and atmosphere ("best" isn't very descriptive but I'd like to keep this concise). It excited my passion for music, and having influenced what I look for in music, years later I got a degree in Sound Design and Music Production in no small part because of that piece. Years later, Doom 2016 became the pinnacle example of that, raising the bar for sound design and composition to heights I could never imagine, going even beyond gaming (up until Doom 2016, Trent Reznor's work was that bar for me). I sincerely believe Doom 2016 to be the best at what it does. Having said that, to find someone like you who clearly has a passion for the same things is oddly inspiring. It's a rare occurrence, and it's a welcome breath of fresh air to find someone who values and appreciates the same aspects of music. I guess I just wanted to express my gratitude and I apologise if I was a little long winded about it 😅 While I didn't find the clash of genres particularly effective here, I absolutely love what it represents. If you ever find yourself in the game composition business, I look forward to what you'll come up with. Thanks for sharing.

@@manofdaboijerry7687 well, the missile launcher still requires ammo, but the light, dark, and annihilator beam needed ammo as they were not of chozo origin. I am unsure if the weapons obtained from the other hunters in Metroid Prime: Hunters required ammo. And there were some beams that were limited per say, but not "ammo" dependent strictly speaking, like the phazon beam from prime 1 and 3.

They're actually fighting together ;). The lore inspiration for this track came from Doom 2016 where it's revealed that the Slayer's savagery against the demons caused them to fear for the first time. Ultimately though, they still put up a fight. So, what would happen in a scenario where both the Doom Slayer AND Samus were going after the demons? They wouldn't fight, they would try to escape.
