Hellish Quart has received a long-awaited game update!
A boss has been added at the end of Arcade mode👍
This time we tried the arcade mode with Marta♪
Marta's main attack is thrusting, and her other attacks are slow, so her main strategy is to keep her distance and attack when she sees an opening, rather than to move forward and aim for an attack🤔

That very last hit against Samuel was a perfect example of Nachreisen; fool's guard challenging the opponent to come for you, evade the incoming attack, and go for the opening he leaves through his own attack. Well done!

Spanish style rapier (Destreza) is very much a High-line game. She has to switch to Mid-line, or, stop trying to get past the Guard and deliberately target his sword arm.

@@DarNori_Gaming Exactly, range is one factor. That's why the rapier was so deadly, it outranged all the sabers etc, while remaining very light.

@@SaturnineXTS from someone who practices historical fencing: Spanish and Italian rapiers from the 16th-17th and even 18th century (think Tibault, Agrippa, Fabris,...) were not that light at all. They range from 1.2 - 1.5 kilograms, at least the ones who were actually made to fight, and not "hip decorators". Which is in line with longswords, sabres and other similarly sized swords of the era. What really matters is that a lot of the rapier's weight, remains close to the hand. The longer a weapon is, the heavier it will become in order to maintain rigidity and strength. But if you keep that weigt close to the hand, with a cup and a pommel as a counterweight to the blade, you can compensate for the fact that the blade should feel heavier. In sabres the weight, usually, lies more at the tip, because you want that weight to be put there, for the cutting power. In short: rapiers are long and balanced, which in a duel between 2 (unarmoured) fighters is enough to give you the edge over many weapons, which is why it became such a popular sword, and it later received even lighter and less battlefield-oriented offshoots, like Foils and Smallswords.

I feel Marta's Espada Ropera is not quite long enough, as Spanish rapiers were often longer than their French/German counterparts. Also, if you watch matches regularly, you will see a greyed-out character in the player section who wears a Morion helmet and dresses like a Tercio soldier. I'm hoping when he comes out, that he will be armed with a side-sword (and maybe a buckler) like a Spanish _Rodelero._

Basically, bosses are vulnerable to thrust attacks from a distance If you hit the boss with a close range attack, he will immediately counter attack you and you will lose as a result I recommend Marie, Isabella, and Father Zella who can do thrust attacks from a distance👍
