Hi there! I can actually relate to what you said "when you felt a little burnt out" from all your dating experiences. I actually felt that too just before March comes this year. At the start of the year I though I wanna be in a relationship too but it turns out that to engage in one, especially in this pandemic, is totally tiring and requires a huge amount of energy. I learned to appreciate my friends and to really appreciate my own time and just like you, learn to derive your happiness from yourself first then everything follows. You got a good content and I'm glad I've stumbled upon it. I can really relate to a lot of it.

Greetings, Kevin. Glad to hear that you’re on the mend from your eye surgery. Any surgery is a risk. Glad it payed off. I heartily agree that you have to embrace your solitude before you can trade it for any type of marital life. Otherwise, you’re not trading up. Married life is challenging and you have to give up much for the happiness of your spouse. Enjoy being able to make your own decisions before you have to give that away. Peace!

If you are bad at putting the drops in, close your eye and place the dropper nozzle on the inner tear duct close to your nose, with your head tilted back. Then drop the solution into your tear duct and open your eye and the drops will distribute. You can do this on the opposite side of your eye as well

i Kevin. I only found your channel last week. I liked your vlogs and was a bit , disappointed that you were taking a break. Anyway, glad that you're back. It's an interesting thing being single. Having had one ltr that lasted for 10 years and ended 21 years ago - when I was 40!(Spoiler alert: the good news is that the worst "big" birthday is 30 - mostly because up to the age of 29 your can't really imagine ever being that old... The others get progressively easier). I can happily concur with your view that you are best off finding out who you are first. It's a long and painful road to do it after the event and it does make you much more cautious about doing it again. Two years ago, the combination of ageing parents and the urgent need for very expensive dental work meant that I sold my flat in London (after 30 years) and moved back to Manchester. The dental work involved a lot more after care than I had understood (monthly trips back to London for a year), so I can relate to eye lasik story. Last year the pandemic struck and nothing has really opened up again. So I find myself two years in to a major lifechange having not really made much progress on getting out and meeting people. I started to take a mandarin course last year, as I am really interested in Chinese culture, but it coincided with the start of the pandemic and suddenly I found I didn't have the headspace or concentration required. I may go back to it but not until I can do it in a classroom setting with other people.

I had Lasik 20 years ago and am grateful for improved vision. Even so, I've never felt comfortable having my unprotected eyes exposed to the elements (wind, dust, tree branches, etc.). I like playing outdoors, gardening and woodworking and just feel safer and more at ease wearing glasses. Another good vid!!

Interesting...did you have a more complicated lasik surgery? I had that done in 2007, didn't need eyedrops, and my recovery was quick. Eyebrows knitted at your lifestyle requirements, until I realized you were joking...you really had me going! Ha ha! Totally agree about learning to be happy on your own...I've mostly been single for my entire adult life, and would only change that for someone who can contribute as much to me and my life as I can to his. Hi Kevin, try this eye drops technique: put the eyedropper tip on the inside corner of your eye near the tear duct and then add the drop onto the tear duct itself to let the tear duct distribute the medicine to the eye naturally. This way you won't see the drop coming and there is not a feeling of a drop pounding on your eyeball. It's a gentle way of putting the medicine in your eyes. Hope this helps! :)
