The first concern sounds like the start of an abusive relationship the fact that she's too scared to even talk back to him says a lot.... It already IS an abusive relationship tbh :( He's mistreating her, disrespecting her, putting her down in so many ways (demeaning her looks, her intelligence, her capabilities) and refusing to treat her like an adult. He might not be physically hitting her but words and humiliation can be just as damaging. I hope she somehow finds the strength and opportunity to leave because he's not changing any time soon.

I haven't cried over something in a long time. But that first guy really got to me. If my husband EVER EVER treated me like that I would straight up divorce him. (I'm Native American and he is Korean) I was adopted as a child and I grew up in a household just like this, it makes me SICK. My sister ended up marrying a guy like this and has 6 children with him. Once I found out what he was doing I went over his house smacked the shit out of him and broke his arm. He is terrified of me to this day. She needs to leave his sorry ass QUICK. Saddest part is those children are going to grow up thinking that lifestyle is okay and it will be an endless cycle of abuse.

The first concern had me so angry I started crying, I believe that most marriage problems could be worked through before turning to divorce, but there is no way I'd stick with that sort of treatment for 10 years let alone a single day. A wife is not a servant she is your partner.

(The First Concern) This is literally what masculine dominance is in lots of cultures. A man feels like he's entitled to anything and everything and doesn't have to help is dangerous. The first husband is clinging to his belief that's he's the king of his household even in the face of reasonable and logical inputs and questions by the panel, especially by Yeongja, because that's all he has. I'm sure in the deep recesses of his mind, he knows he's in the wrong, but he can't let go of that mentality nor admit his mistreatment of his wife due to his stubborn pride. It's just too bad that the wife just loves him more than he loves her. She looked so hurt when he said that she could leave/divorce him as long she doesn't take the kids. It's just that it would inconvenience him to take care of them when she's gone. All I can say is "wow." If that doesn't wake her up, then I don't know what will. It'll be up to her how much more she'll put up with. What I'm curious about is how come his parents weren't invited to the show so we can see if his parents are proud of his treatment of his wife and whether they approve his belief that he's "king" and should be treated as such by his servant wife?

This is the first time I got really mad at husband-wife stories. I could tolerate some but this is absolutely the worst type of husband. If he wants to live as a king then he should get himself a maid. It's so frustrating to see their kids ending up like their father. Nothing wrong with being a king, but he should realize that even a king has responsibilities. A king is only another person without anybody who supports him. If he is supposed to be the king in the family, then he should make sure that the rest of them are willing to support him and have the possibility to do it. Simply calling yourself the king as an excuse to be lazy is wrong. I see two solutions to that problem. 1. He earns enough money that the wife doesn't have to work. 2. He stops being lazy and starts taking responsibility for his family.

my father acts exactly like the man in the 1st concern. nothing satisfies him. hes never been happy with any effort my mother makes, whether it was in terms of looks or simply housekeeping he was abusive at times towards her. itd be a never ending problem if a woman doesnt take strong actions and stand up for herself thats what my mother always say. this will only result in despair and hatred. i hope the couple over-came that situation.

Okay so the first concern The guy really pissed me off idk what's it with him I think that his way of thinking is very childish The second concern seemed fake and uh so I just skipped it The third concern was really complicated for all of them. Either they misunderstood each other, or the dad felt really sad once his son leaved him to work on something else. All dads hate their sons when they leave them btw, they just don't seem want to understand why they just assume that their sons hate them and they want to leave them when they're wrong in the first place so it's really normal.
