The first wife kept saying things abusive people say towards their partner! That he is childish, immature, talks back to her, disobeys, etc.. is he a human being or a pet? Plus he works 12 hour shifts! Do you know how hard a 12 hour shift is?? I worked 12-13h a day for 2 weeks and all i wanted to do at the end of my shift was to drop dead and never wake up again! It's so fucking exhausting! Yet she wakes him up on his only opportunity to catch some sleep and he still helps her with the housework! She is manipulative and controlling and a fucking leecher! He should divorce her, get the kids and get as far away from her as possible! "I hit him out of habit" - that's domestic violence right there! Edit: at the very end she didn't even feel sorry, she only said that because she was on tv! She thought she could manipulate the audience and the MCs but she didn't think things through and was humiliated! Poor husband, i'm pretty sure he saw hell when he got home, an abusive person cares only for power and themselves!

I have to agree with you. It seems like the wife pretended to show defeat towards the end in hope of receiving less backlash and have others think she will change. The sad truth is that you can never tell what is happening behind closed doors. Lets just hope that one day, the two of them will appear in the news update on this show. On the side note, I can understand how difficult 12 hour shifts are coming from someone who has been doing it for over five years and have coworkers who have been doing so for almost 30 years. Our shifts can vary between day to evening to night shifts, and I have done as much as 16 hour shifts before or up to 72 hours in a week for a few weeks in a row. Unfortunately, you do not have a choice at times, especially in the medical field (at least for me) where people's lives are in danger when you work in the front line. Nevertheless, I still love it despite how stressful it can be.

damyoungji i'm pretty sure he got yelled at in the best case scenario, in the worst one... you can just tell she didn't feel sorry! i heard that this show as an actual psychiatrist on stand by and actually counsels the people with more concerning problems! Not sure if it's the truth tho!

for the second concern, I felt for both the daughter and mother. First of all, I hate the term "lazy", when it's being used incorrectly, or when people are accused of being lazy when there are other reasons. I only had 2 close friends in highschool, one was my best friend of 6 years and the other was our friend that mainly followed her around. I won't go much into detail at this part but my friend of 6 years was very manipulative and abusive so I decided to end it with her. It was extremely hard but it felt so relieving. I ended up spending the rest of my senior year by myself. I skipped senior activities, prom, etc. I sat with these 10th graders that I knew at lunch time and because I wasn't friends with that girl anymore, I basically lost all connections with the other seniors. I'm very introverted and she's very extroverted so she was always able to get us to hang out with anyone. Anyways that was a really hard time for me and I lost the motivation to study. Like Taejoon said, he goes to school for his friends. Of course they're partially joking but of course lots of kids hate school but go to be with friends. I studied less and faked being sick to miss school. The senior activities were optional so I never went because I didn't have any friends, and I didn't want to bother those people that I sort of knew but wasn't friendly enough with them to hang out you know? Because of missing lots of classes and getting bad grades, I ended up not being able to graduate with the rest of the class. At that point I didn't care because I would've been too afraid anyways. At graduation ceremonies, people take pictures with their friends but I didn't want to be that one there who didn't have anyone. After I completed a few months later, I told my mom I wanted to go to counseling and I'd always vent about this stuff. After a few weeks with my therapist, I went to go see a psychiatrist and I was diagnosed with depression. I think that's what the daughter has. I'm still watching the concern but first of all she had fight with her friend and was too afraid to approach the others, so she stayed home often. She lies in bed all day and plays on her phone, which might not be laziness but a symptom of depression. She cried so easily when she started talking, which happens to me too. At first my mom called me lazy and said I needed to go out and do more things, which was true, but when I was diagnosed that was when we realized the reason. I know it's different for everyone but just the girl really reminds me of myself.
@cinnarenaroll12928 жыл бұрын
oh I watched the rest of the concern and wElp they just brushed over this part. I can relate to the daughter at the part where she talked about her mom not praising her. When I had low grades (like F low) I'd tell my mom when I go up to D, C, and B. All my mom says is "Keep trying harder" and she never praises me. I mentioned this to my therapist and she once (with my consent) invited my mom to the session and said it'd be a good confidence booster if she praised me a bit. When I passed the classes I didn't pass before, my mom said "Good job, I'm proud of you." And I cried lol My point is that it would help a lot if her mother just praised her a bit too. And that part where Taegyun says "You should've tried harder. Just thinking about it doesn't do anything." I had that same problem too, like I always say I want to do better to help my mom, but I never DO anything. I'm still having that problem now and it's really hard to fix. idk how it is for others but to me, it's hard to distinguish actually working hard and thinking you've worked hard. Sometimes you do know you didn't try as hard but you'd still like to think you did to make yourself feel better..

yungtaro this kinda sounds what I went through in school as well, made me reflect on my past lol. the difference is I moved away a lot so I lost a lot of good friends and I just stopped making friends as I entered different schools and became more introverted. I don't know if I have depression because it doesn't feel like it but I did/do spend my time in my room enjoying what made me happy when I wasn't in school. I do get emotional easy when I talk to someone in person about my self, like my troubles lol idk why. so yeah I agree with you the girl missing school I feel her because I was just like her.

the wife slapping the husband on the first concern is not something to joke about, it's domestic violence. If it was the other way around I bet they wouldn't have laughed and make jokes about it,I bet they would even have report it to the police. Men can suffer from domestic violence just like women and it's just as horrible and unfair
@lacsaradpon8 жыл бұрын
I agree with you. I was part of a jury that had a case similar to this. Men really do suffer from these things too and just because she's hitting softly or hitting playfully, if she continues after he asks her to stop, it really does reduce the confidence in men and they begin to really question the situation. The woman constantly yelled at him, hit him, and called him names, yet he still continued the relationship because he loved her and their daughter. Even though society's view of men is confident, strong, and bold, that can easily be teared down if they're being dragged down constantly. I feel like they both should have more respect for each other and talk it out. They should learn to be more understanding of each other. I hope they can work it out because they were childhood friends and they seem fond of each other still :)

Even though the wife seems worse the husband is at fault too. He needs to learn how to stand up to his wife instead of just running away when he's mad and crawling back later when he feels lonely or else this control she has over him will only get worse.
@Cassie97328 жыл бұрын
Lol I'm not victim blaming. From what they said at least she hit him three times, and I agree they are not excusable at all. But it looks like he is unwilling to leave and like I said unless he's truly unhappy in his marriage and she's causing him extreme emotional pain/continues to use force he needs to stand up to her or else it will only get worse and nothing will change.
@Cassie97328 жыл бұрын
Baroque Now that I think about it, it starts with the both of them. She needs to stop getting violent he needs to not let the subject end with only him apologizing. It takes two to make things work. One doesn't need to start change before the other, cause that leaves one side feeling cheated whether they're wrong or right. In my opinion they both need work and need to stop resorting to avoiding from the argument by using physical violence and verbal abuse and leaving until things just blow over.
@watashiwaanni8 жыл бұрын
Am I the only one who feels like the first wife is super violent and abusive, mentally and physically? This is not okay behavior - for the first time during this show I am so understanding of the husband compared to the wife. She does not listen properly, being agressive, hitting him, telling him to put his act together. I can really understand the reasoning behind wanting to run away.
@Hooplaaa8 жыл бұрын
Hugh Mungus I agree, and she seemed to not take what they said towards her as seriously, even though it isn't right for the husband to run away, considering he has children but she's seems a bit immature and has some things to work on as a wife and mother too.

At the same time the husband is very childish as well. Both are at fault but that wife is way too violent wtf she does not have a drop of respect for her husband
@watashiwaanni8 жыл бұрын
It's my personal opinion. Hitting someone and belittlement in my opinion fall under abusive behavior - if she is doing it intentionally to hurt or not. And again in my opinion - the husband's reaction is to flee from the belittlement which probably is more damaging to him than hitting him. I am glad that she has taken the critique to her and trying to change herself as well as him. I am aware that it hasn't gotten "that" serious yet - but small things like this can destroy a person. Imagine if they kept doing this.

I usually don't write my story here, but that mom is exactly like my mom, hit him, insult him, she's so violent and abusive, my mom was like that with my dad, my brother and me, actually that situation happened until my dad died and my brother left the house, i really really really hope she can changed, or the husband should left the house, lock him out, made him slept in the car, cutting his face from the photos? she's so rude, i can understand why he left the house, not only that, they have a children she's growing up seeing that, that's bad :/ probably people think he's inmature, but if the case was the opposite, if was the husband who hit her or insult her people could say "She should left, that man is the worst" reading the second concern about the girl who skip school, and today i skip a class xD i shouldn't, i was also worried about her, but i think she gonna go school ^^ her mother, wow, she really had a lot of trouble i hope she's okay T__T The guy in the last concern is so cuteee, also he's good, but i think he should focus in others thing too, maybe the time the mom is working he can practice, but when his mom is sleeping he should study, 0??? wow, i'm totally obssesive with Monsta X just like he is with yoo-yoo but if i know i have a exam i study hard, (actually i should be studying right now XD)

In the first concern, I honestly thought it was about another husband who was really horrible but then as his reasons came out I began to understand. Living with a wife like that must be hard, especially when she hit him. I'm glad that his problems were taken seriously because I think that when men usually complain about their wives hitting them they're laughed off but when it's reversed, women are usually encouraged to leave. Of course, the husband isn't perfect but at least he didn't resort to hitting his wife when he didn't get his way. Or cutting out her face in family pictures because that would have really hurt him, especially when he seems to genuinely care for his wife.
@lakriz1168 жыл бұрын
The second concern just hearing the story about the daughter through the mother I thought it sounded like the daughter was either depressed or had deep anxiety and hearing how the daughter talked about not wanting to be in the way and being scared to go to school made it clear that she has anxiety I hope she gets help in overcoming her fears. Hearing about the mothers illnesses I hope they can get help its sad that parents have to tell their kids to give up on a school because if money I hope they will both have a better life and that the daughter finds other way to achieve her dream.

The overwhelming sexism underlying the first concern is blinding. When they hear that a woman slapped her husband, they assume and insist it was just a light little ladylike tap rather than a full-on slap. But think: If it were a man slapping his wife, people would be appalled and think it was definitely a full-blown, drawback slap. People shrug it off when the woman is the abuser, but if it were the wife in his position saying her husband hit her, y'all KNOW there'd be a huge commotion.

Please don't hit people T.T If you have a bad temper just go outside and calm down just like your husband and take his feelings into consideration too. That woman seemed really violent and selfish. I think there is more to the bullying in the second concern. I think she was basically shut out from the entire class. It's hard when no one will talk to you. It's easy to get distracted with her cell phone when the real world is so cruel. I hope the class changes and a falling out with one student doesn't lead to everyone ignoring her. I think a lot of the situation in the news about the daughter of Choi and what happened in her high school. The teachers were unable to stop the corruption and suffered, now the ones who were powerless and bullied into the passing the girl are in trouble. Such cruel priviledged people. Such misguided blame. What is the average person to do when bullied by a powerful person close to the president?

I'm usually on the side of a dreamer, but in this case.... naaah, you need to be considerate of others, if you're selfish you won't go far.

1st Concern: The lady is the one with the problem. She is very abusive & spoiled. She only understands things the way she wants to. The 'Im Always Right' kind of person. My dad is a doctor that work with shifts so his sleep patterns are also like the man's but it doesn't cause any problem. I mean, he sleeps before going to work so he doesnt fall asleep while he is there. Its not the end of the world cause the man does make time for his family.

I feel bad for the second concern. Having depression (the daughter) is not even easy to manage. She wants to do stuff but she feels so down and she can't even help her mom. I hope they can help each other and be supportive. Praying for them

With the first concern, I'm really sorry for the husband to live in Korea. Domestic violance in Korea is said to be private matter and shouldn't be dealt with law. It's not even taken seriously. Korean tradition/culture says, that wife actually belongs to husband, therefore not many social workers or police (who are native Koreans) take this issue seriously. Each year, there is a survey among Korean marriages. More than 50% percent of the asked admited that they have experienced mental abuse in the previous year. In many cases the police tells people to talk it out, but there are situations when they don't even come to the scene. Domestic violance becomes real stuff when entering the court. You, whoever you are and wherever you live, remember, that using violance doesn't make you strong. It makes you a bully.

The mother and son need to work together and he needs to learn when to do his yo-yoing and to stop calling his mother. Some people are fixated on one thing and they can't help that but he needs to learn to compromise and control himself.

The second problem seems to me like the daughter is getting depressed. People may often mistake depression for being lazy. You can see how she sees the negative side of things. She was worried she might not get friends but when her classmate told her there are many people who want to be her friend, she said it's too late now. When her mom couldn't send her to the art school she felt helpless. The mom needs to listen to her daughter.

baby bobo. That's what I was thinking because depression often makes people doubt themselves and ruins their confidence. I also thought if the mother would have actually tried talking with her daughter. she probably would have noticed that her daughter was upset.

for first worry, both of them were strong headed. hence why they can't seem to find the middle ground. i'd vote that they both have worries.

In the first concern the wife says he's never home.....but yet he does all the housework and works an 12-hour shift?????? (If I was him I would never be at home either [THAT'S AN ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIP RIGHT THERE ])
@Cassie97328 жыл бұрын
In the first concern both the husband and wife are super immature. The wife has anger issues and is way too petty and the husband is too submissive and runs away whenever he doesn't want to face her head on. She needs anger management, he needs to be less submissive and they both need a bunch of couples counseling.
@Cassie97328 жыл бұрын
***** First of all I never called him a coward I said he is submissive to his wife which his is, and that he runs away when he doesn't want to face her head on which he does. Based on what I've seen he's unwilling to leave her so if he is going to stay, like I said he needs to stick up for himself, she needs some serious anger management and they both need couples counseling otherwise the situation will only get worse. Don't try to gender this cause I would say the same to a woman who wasn't going to/is unwilling to leave an abusive (emotionally and physically) husband.
@Cassie97328 жыл бұрын
You're right it does start with the wife but leaving every time there is an argument is not going to help either. If anything it gives the wife some type of ego boost or whatever that just fuels her superiority complex. Not backing down doesn't necessarily mean yell back and fuel the argument. It can also mean staying and trying to find a common ground, leave for a while (like a day at most), if you have to but don't come back and just say anything to appease her cause really what progress will that make.
@kriswifeu56678 жыл бұрын
Well, it's the wife IS the problem. She already has superiority complex to begin with. She never respected him or empathized with him. How can you change a person who think's they are superior than everyone? They only see themselves. Not anyone else. It's always "me me me me". There's no solution to the problem unless he SEES that he is physically and emotionally abused by his wife. He's being manipulated and controlled because she's trying to make herself look innocent.

The second concern was annoying. The mom really needs to be stronger and properly punish her daughter. Going to school is not an option. And it was really annoying how she let the daughter be so lazy. The daughter was texting her from her bedroom for the mom to bring her food and water. If I was a parent, I'd ignore those texts and make the daughter get up on her own.
@thatlonelysoul_69277 жыл бұрын
DriveByBodyPiercer. The Daughter had a reason to want to skip school though. It also seems to me like the mom should have tried convincing her daughter to tell her what's wrong and not just assume that her daughter was just lazy. The daughter is lazy though but to skip school that often isn't Laziness.
