Gwon and Hyeok's mom is really nice omg. She seems like a wonderful mother ;^; Just a little too loving so she couldn't be stern with their eating. Definitely a push over but I like that she is fine with them being fat as long as they aren't in pain and are healthy. (because honestly I know a lot of parents that are really harsh with their kid's weights and call them fat when they certainly are not- my family does it to me. theres been more concerns of spouses/kids/family members that don't want their family members/spouses to nit-pick their weight or basically make fun of them) I hope she becomes stern with what she feeds them though.

Honnestly , I saw that in some couples , after marriage , the attentions aren't the same , or people stop saying they love each other , kiss or hug less etc...But I think it is super lovely to hear everyday that we are loved by the one we love too. Sunggyu's "I have an old chair..." LOL. But I feel like the mother of the obese sons has a responsibility to feed her children healthily, no matter how they react. She's the one buying (and presumably preparing) the food, plus they're her children, it's her duty to keep them healthy. And it made me really uncomfortable how everyone (including the mother) were just laughing at them. I get that the show is all in good fun, but still...

I get how you feel, but I feel as though much of the laughter is from the fact that the kids were cute and a little sassy. But yeah, if the mom wants to have healthy children, she needs to be firmer with them. Once the tantrums pass, they'll understand that their mom won't change her mind, so they'll eventually start eating properly. Korean parenting is something I still feel a little peeved about, tbh.

I think she just didn't want to be seen as an enemy because they'd say that she hates them and such, but I agree that at such a young age it is the mother's responsibility to keep her children healthy. This show helps express the seriousness of some of the situations that people are in (or not). I am not a huge huge fan of the format of this show but it's still interesting. These people have real concerns and the hosts/audience will laugh at certain situations that don't seem appropriate. Maybe the nuance is lost upon me since I don't know Korean... The whole "voting" for whether or not something is a concern seems odd to me.

As much as I agree with what you said, I still feel as though she should have been firmer. My parents were (and still are in some instances) firm as heck when it came to food. So it bothers me when other parents aren't. I mean, I kinda can see the point of voting -- the bigger the concern you have, the chance of getting that money and coffee -- so it's an incentive for people that would seem hesitant to come forward with their concerns. But maybe I'm just reading too deeply into this. XD
