My mom had heart failure they saved her luckily she is home and feeling better. I'm worried I might have heart failure because of all the food I eat I'm going to go on a diet. I quit drinking energy drinks for the sake of my health.

I have Marfan Syndrome and I've been postponing seeing my cardiologist, not even sure why, yet I've been thinking a lot about this kind of scenario and I guess I'm just terrified. Thank you for sharing this and, I'll do something about this. I want to prevent or prepare. Thank you, really.

Dude, as a MD and emergency physician in my every day life, I can honestly say you were lucky that you survived! An aortic dissection is actually on on of the emergencies I'm most afraid of, as it is very easy to miss and can kill in a very short amount of time. In fact, depending on the severity, it can be a death sentence for a patient if you misinterprete the symptoms and go to the wrong hospital. Keep strong, enjoy life and take care of yourself!
