Well yes and no, because all the love teams they initially asked were either unavailable or rejected the project. Apparently, this was offered first to the LizQuen love team who wanted to do the movie but was busy with another project then, Enrique and Kathryn / KathNiel love team (not sure which way it was asked) but Daniel rejected the role. These were based from the interviews Liza had with Bea Alonso and Daniel Padilla with Boy Abunda. Either way, like you said, the movie turned out the best it could be with this pairing.

Kath-Den tandem here in Hello Love Goodbye proves that kahit sila yung second choice sa role. They gave justice. Imagine if Liza and Enrique did the role. Saan ka nakakita ng conyo na Domestoc Helper. Kathryn really did her part from immersion to shooting. Kathryn and Alden really deserves the role.

I watched all kathniel movies and skipped this movie. I decided not to watch this because it wasn’t Daniel . Then I decided to watch it just last week. Oh my God, I am hooked. I don’t want to see anything Daniel again. I have rewatched this for the 100th time. This is the most beautiful Kath movie ever. And Alden, he is such a character. Such a good actor ❤. Thank you Star Cinema for posting this cute film here, I randomly watched HLA at a theatre here in Vancouver, CANADAAAAAA :) and was really taken by the story. But during some flashback scenes, I thought how the heck did they look so much younger (without using special FX)....now I just found out HLA was part 2, so happy I got to see part 1 now. Very touching yet real scenario, a love story spanning across Philippines, Hong Kong and Canada. Now that I think of it, this must've been torture for the HLG fans who were left with a cliffhanger for sooo many years!?

The kilig moments walang kupas kahit how many times you watch it. Ang chemistry nila sa isat isa ang walang question dahil parang totoo. I think that's one of the hardest things to accomplish. This movie inspires me a lot about working hard and treasuring every second that I have, especially when I live in Canada now. I understand the feelings of the characters in the movie when ppl from developing countries like the Philipines or Vietnam (my hometown) try so hard for citizenship of the rich countries. Twas nice to appreciate this the second time I watched it to prepare myself for tomorrow's screening of HLA. I am an Alden fan since Aldub and I started liking Kathryn on this movie. I am glad everything worked out so perfectly. I don't give an F if they said it was a lousy story. I will watch any Chris Nolan movie if I look for something cerebral. But if I want to be human and happy and sad and giddy and hopeful, watching this and HLA on the big screen is so worth it. 🙌❤

Back in 2018 sabi ko, mas bagay si Alden at Kathryn at sana sila na lang magkatuluyan❤️ moving forward 2024 nagkaroon ng sequel at kaabang-abang ang movie HLA.
