I used to listen to this back at that time when i used to suffer from a heavy depression and anxiety felt numb and terrible at the same time. But only listening to this would calm me and put me to sleep. Will never forget this song! Im in a better condition now and hope everyone will find their way in life ❤️

Petrichor is the pleasant, earthy smell that often accompanies the first rain after a period of dry weather. It's the distinctive aroma that arises when rainwater interacts with the soil, releasing compounds and oils from plants and microorganisms in the environment. This smell is often described as fresh, clean, and somewhat nostalgic, and it can be quite soothing to many people. The word "petrichor" itself is derived from Greek roots: "petra," meaning stone, and "ichor," which in Greek mythology was the ethereal fluid that flowed in the veins of the gods. The term was coined in 1964 by scientists Isabel Joy Bear and Richard Thomas, who conducted research on the phenomenon and published their findings in the journal Nature. Petrichor is a beloved scent for many, as it's associated with the relief and renewal that rain can bring after a dry spell, and it has a unique and evocative quality. ❤

I was alone, moving down the highway in the old 400,000 mile family car and this song was playing on the Bluetooth radio I installed, it was around 7.30 and the sun was setting, I could see the fiery orange sky in front of me, but the rain clouds were still above. It had just stopped pouring, and i reached the crest of a long steady hill right as the bass came in at 2:36, I could see that sky reflecting off the wet pavement as I descended back down, heading home after one of the best weekends ever. There has never been a more perfect moment driving alone.

Incredible edit. I've listened to Hello Meteor for years and this Causality Violations has been my favorite album since its release, yet I had not seen this video until June of this year. A timely occurrence, I think. I had just gone through a pretty rough breakup, and the nights were incredibly difficult. I was filled with self-doubt and kept prying into my past, analyzing the "what-ifs" and counterfactuals that could've made things work. For whatever reason, this video brought me immense calm. The music and the clip from the movie seemed to embody everything I wanted to experience at the time. The world it presented seemed like a place I could go and escape. This video was also what introduced me to Lost in Translation, which needless to say, ended up being appropriate viewing for my circumstances. In so many ways, I empathized with both Bob and Charlotte and their anxieties, yet at the same time, I wanted to step into their world and experience their brief respite in a place totally different and out of my comfort zone. Shortly after watching the movie, I had the opportunity to travel for work to a city I'd never been to. While it was out of my country, I traveled to a country I was already familiar with and had been to before, so I didn't exactly get the Lost in Translation "experience", but there were moments I had this song on loop and reflected on the themes from the film and their relevance to my life. Never thought a song from my favorite album for relaxation and focus would lead me to such a fine and relevant film.

I can't watch this video and listen to this beautiful, soul touching music without breaking down so fucking hard. I was a Bob and met a Charlotte at HIM's farewell tour when they played near me, I met this amazing perfect girl at the bar, we talked and then danced to the music all night, held her in my arms, she was so perfect... we lost each other in the crowd leaving the show, only ever knew her first name. I would give anything for another chance at that night...

Mr. Meteor, thank you for sharing what your beautiful imagination dreamed, or what your sensitive soul heard, or both at the same time. I have this song on infinite repeat. Somehow I feel this song expresses so much of how I feel. It's like my soul is sending me a secret message, hidden in the maelstrom of this world, a message in a bottle floating on the ocean, and it's this song, and somehow I found it. I listen to this and hear my own soul speak to me. It is a voice of joy that shares my sadness, a voice of lightness and freedom that dwells in my pain. It makes me long to find the sounds that my soul would make if my body could speak for it. I want to bring a miracle into being like you have with this song. I feel incapable though. I wonder if there was a time when you thought yourself incapable of creating such a thing? If in the afterlife, when we all will be one, we can experience what others saw and felt as they did in this world, then I hope I can return with you to the first time you heard this song after completing it and behold that creation with you. It's a creation that will live on forever. Someday you will hear it on the ultimate sound system as it echos through the universe. Thank you for having the courage to pursue your dream and for having the heart that sings such a melody.

This was the soundtrack to my room mates and I beating the final boss of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. So full of sadness and finality, and that perfectly encapsulates the fight. SPOILERS: You go up against someone who has been a mentor to you since early in the game. Not only does it feel bad to end the life of someone who you look up to, but it also feels like you give him the death he longed for instead of the sickness that overtook him earlier in the game. Bittersweet, just like all the best aspects of life. Beautiful, inspiring, genuine, and downright masterful. This song feels like it comes from the deepest well of emotion, a well I find myself drawing water from almost daily. Thank you, truly, for making your art and baring your soul to the world through the sweet soundscapes that is "Hello Meteor".
