Time is so fleeting and I can't believe there are anniversary box sets of all these artists like Beastie Boys. Love your take on their debut album "Licence to Ill". Like you said, it was all about the music and fun! I believe that album was the fastest -ever selling hip hop album of all time. Enjoyed watching. Thanks!

Ever since I can remember wsy before Paul’s boutique I always said to people that the Beastie Boys are the Beatles of rap/rock/hiphop

They are a classic "you had to be there" type of band. Otherwise you wouldn't understand the influence--it wasn't all the MCs, but their sound was certainly not overrated.

I’m sorry if you disagree but the Beastie Boys were most definitely the Beatles of rap/rock in a time period when rap wasn’t experimenting much early on but the Beastie Boys were. There is no denying that in the rap music world the Beastie Boys definitely left their stamp and made rap that more enjoyable for me.
