Hello Neighbor How To Beat The Basement Act 1

So a lot of people asked for a run of the basement in Act 1 with a flashlight turned on so they could see. So I got right to it and with this video you too can avoid the neighbor and solve the basement in JUST 3 MINUTES!!!

it's all about moving through the basement really quickly, once the neighbor is there, it gets really difficult. If you are having neighbor trouble in the basement, you might want to restart act 1 and try to move through it as quickly as possible

You make it look so easy! Starting to think my game is glitched, I turn the power off and within 5 seconds he turns it back on again, every time. Can barely even get out of that room without being caught, and even if I manage that he then appears a couple of rooms later! Changed it to friendly mode and he still puts bear traps on the doors too!

I know this is a old comment but I’m sure the power turning back on is the neighbour turning it on ur game isn’t glitched that was added to make it more challenging, I got there in time but it turned on the second I reached the generator thing and there was a pile of furniture at the back to climb out so it must have been done intentionally

you need to go through the rooms, removing the chairs blocking certain doors, then go back and turn off the power at the start of the basement. then go back through the doors you cleared and the generator gate will be open, turn of the generator, go back to the start and turn the power back on, then you can leave the basement

There's a weird quirk, if you pull run too quickly, especially before the cutscene ends, run doesn't work. you have to wait a second after the cutscene ends, then pull run and you should be fine

Basically: Open gate and go unblock the doors then go back and turn the power off and go through the unblocked doors and through that door and through the brick wall then turn generator on and go back to power and turn it on then go through to the door what wouldn’t open is now enterable , thank you

Im so confused I completed act 1 (I only needed the walk thru because I got lost in the basement) and when act 2 started the neighbour sprinted at me, I paused for a second and when I played it my character was thrown into the air. I managed to clear the massive fence and act 3 started xd

I'm not sure, I've just got back to playing and they've changed how he appears. I suggest restarting act 1 then following this route. The more time you spend in the basement, the more the neighbor is everywhere

The basement took me forever, I just kept walking around until I knew every room, then slowly I figured out the route. But once I got the route down, it just got easier and easier

For those who keep having the neighbour in the basement it means 1:you got caught before opening the door and he knoas you'll be in there again 2:you didn't get caught but you took to long and he noticed your in the basement (My case) 3: idk he used those triathlon skills to come down and get you I literally just got to the basement and I did the bit where you turn the power off but then it did that thing where you go near him so I hid in a wardrobe/cupboard

You're not moving through the basement quick enough. The more time you spend down there, the more time the neighbor has to mess with things you've changed. I'd suggest restarting act one, don't get caught, and run this route through the basement as quickly as possible.

Whenever I go through the maze at the end it’s either that the neighbor is catching me immediately or whenever I touch a wall he catches me because I can’t get past the first corner. How do I fix this?

you have to be sure to sprint, if you hold it too early it doesn't work, you have to wait half a second, then pull LT to take off sprinting, hope that makes sense and helps

I also have another way to complete the basement. And just do the main route but before that... Grab some chairs and boxes until you get high enough to reach the generator without turning off the power and then climb the debris and out ya go
