Yes, the label name is Karen Records. Back in 1962-1973 when the label existed, Karen was a regular name for a girl or woman, and not an insult term used online. The label was founded in 1962 by Ollie McLaughlin, a Detroit based record producer & talent scout. Karen's parent label was Carla Records, who had Deon Jackson as it's star. Both labels were distributed by Atlantic Records.

There is one more version of this with a female lead released in 1966 & was NOT Barbara Lewis! Yaass, I know that she wrote it, but the woman who was singing it on my record w/The Capitols, her voice was uniquely different & I'll NEVER 4get it(I've been searching⁉️)😮😢
