They know they don't have to do real gold plated items to make money. Why make the product cost more when you can fetch the same money you want with lower production cost. Good times are over for designer brands in my opinion. The designs and quality is dropping drastically year by year.

The best “dupe” for the Celine Trio is the Lo and Sons Pearl bag. It doesn’t come apart in three, but it has dual zipper and a middle more open compartment. I love mine, and it’s well priced!

They used to have another type of leather for this bag as well; calfskin liégé, which was a more grained version. Now I can only find it in one colour on the website. It's really strange if they want to discontinue this bag, they even call it "classic". They should keep it and also bring back the grained leather version. It's an understated bag, and "if you know you know". I assume they will promote the Triomphe bag instead, but I don't care for the clasp at all, it's rather cheap looking IMO.

My favorite is the Celine bag with this exquisite leather, I can’t believe is being discontinued 😮. Talking about Celine I would love to hear your thoughts on the teen triomphe. I have been debating if I should get this bag so many times because I want something from Celine but I really don’t know if is a trendy bag or is considered a classic. I love your handbag collection

I think the triomphe is a very pretty bag. I’m partial to the old Celine styles from the Phoebe Philo era, but if you like the newer styles, I think the triomphe is one of the best they’ve done recently. As for whether or not it’s a classic, I think we get to decide what is classic for ourselves. If you think it’ll work for your wardrobe for many years, it’s classic. 😉

I got my Neo tote last year right before it was discontinued. I think the other version with short top handles and longer shoulder/crossbody strap may have had the holes on the sides.

Totally agree. I love everything about it, but the sharp square metal on the strap has deterred me. It’s still such an expensive bag pre-loved that the metal bits are a deal breaker!

That is definitely the one con I would point out too. I’ve gotten used to pushing the square bits down towards the end of the strap so they don’t bother me when I’m walking with the bag on crossbody, but if I’m not careful, my hair will get caught in them! 😅

Yes i do agree on all these especially the Chanel's Mini in Caviar. Am thinking aloud what is so difficult for them to make in Caviar since they still have that in the Classic. I will be the first one to hopefully get one if they make the come back for the Chanel. I know the price is crazy but i hope to have one in my collection. Yes, Coach discontinued their Cassie too! The Cassie 19 (smaller version) is still available but not the original.

I agree with several of your choices! I have been eying that alternate LV Speedy B in black (giant empreinte)? As much as I wanted something very similar to this, I wasn't sure how I felt about the large LV print. It has kept me from purchasing. I do prefer the more understated monogram on yours. What are your thoughts on this?

I have the speedy 20 in black empreinte! It is less understated than the bb for sure, but it actually isn't that "in your face" in person. It really isn't obvious that there's monogram on it until it's hitting the light or you're up close to it. Hope that helps!

I understand. The larger monogram is a bit more bold and I think some people prefer the look. If you don’t love it, I say, don’t settle! There will be plenty more bags to choose from in the future. 😉

I love your speedy bb! I really wish they return that colorway.. I was into the empreinte but all the preloved ones' debossing flatten out over the years... not a good look I love the Longchamp Neo line as well. I'm so happy I bought an XS while I can still find them in some outlets.

I would love a mini chanel caviar with 24k hardware. I love your LV speedy bb, I would buy one if it was brought back or something similar. I also have the longchamp black neo in large and it's such a great travel bag if you want something from day tourist to night nicer dinner. It's such good quality, I've used it 5-6 years everyday for uni/work and travelling overseas.

I honestly think they know which bags are well loved. They discontinue them on purpose to create the FOMO effect. They just don't want people to find the perfect items so they can keep hunting.

That’s definitely part of it! These brands are in the business of creating FOMO. But I also wonder if certain items are less profitable or if certain items do so well with customers that they think a revamped model would do even better. There’s probably a variety of reasons but for one thing, they don’t seem to be LISTENING! 😂

Hi Hannah. May I suggest for your consideration that you don't shoot videos in HDR format? HDR distorts colours, making them warmer and more saturated, so when we watch your videos the colours of the bags that you feature are not truly represented.

Thank you for the feedback! It’s actually not the camera but the lighting. I filmed this video later in the day and it got cloudy so I had to turn on my floor lamp which unfortunately casts a yellow hue. 😅 I try my best to film on sunny days but it’s tough in the winter sometimes. I’ve received feedback from others recently saying that they love how true to color my videos are - so funny - because those are shot in natural sunlight on the best days. I’m not really doing anything special either way. I’m at the whims of the forecast. 😂 But I will definitely be more mindful going forward! 💗

I think they’re selling whatever stock is left of Phoebe’s designs but not producing more. Maybe once they’re done, she will release her own brand. I wonder if that’s another reason she held off? Can either of you let me know if the strap is comfortable on the classic bag, please? I know the fastenings are quite chunky and squared off and wondered if they dig into the shoulder when you wear lighter weight clothing.
