I was absolutely saddened and terrified that Sentinel Prime had betrayed the Autobots. You can feel how mad this made Optimus during the final battle. Also, “Who would you be without me, Prime?” “Time to find out.” That’s gotta be the most savage line Optimus has ever said, and Cullen’s delivery was stone cold.

Alongside Hans Zimmer, Steve Jablonsky is one of my FAVORITE composers. His work on the Transformers films played a significant role in my love for the films. I own every single one of them. I remember severely, SEVERELY missing him when Bumblebee came out. Thank goodness they collaborated with him again for Rise of the Beasts. It truly doesn't feel like a Transformers movies without his amazing scores.

He was taught by his older brother, Larry, a Marine, to be “strong enough to be gentle” and to not have Optimus as a stereotypical action hero. “We will kill them all” to him felt out of character, and he generally didn’t enjoy times when Optimus was like that in the Bay directed movies.

To answer your question about the other autobots that didn't show up from the second movie they're killed off, jolt the one who helped optimus combined with Jetfire was killed by shockwave and he also killed elita one the purple motorcycle optimus gf/wife that explains why optimus killed shockwave so brutal and 10 more autobots were killed by shockwave on earth. The twins were originally going to have an on screen death and they to die by protecting the autobots after ironhide was killed. Sorry about my previous comment I added.

10:56 that little guy, Igor, is actually basically a resurrected Long Haul, who was one of the Constructicons in the second film who formed Devastator. But he’s just Long Haul’s head. :lol Also, Starscream doesn’t want to help Megatron, he was gloating that Megs was weakened and he could overthrow him. In the franchise you could basically replace every instance of “traitor” in Webster’s Cybertronian Dictionary with “Starscream” because he’s almost always trying to get him and take over.

When you asked about Sentinel betraying the autobots, I didn't see it coming when I first watched it but there was foreshadowing. Leonard Nimoy was the voice of Sentinel and in the original 80s cartoon movie, he was the voice of Megatron when he received a new body from Unicron and his name was changed to Galvatron. Also, Wheelie was watching Star Trek and Nimoy was fighting his friends and Wheelie says "I've seen this, this is the one were Spock goes nuts."

2 facts that I weirdly know from this movie: - The Ferrari Autobot, Dino, has another name Mirage who shows up in the latest Transofrmers movie. The reason this guy never came back for the sequels is because it was a one movie deal with the people who own Ferrari to showcase one of their cars in a Transformers movie. - The novelization of this film had the twins from the 2nd film involved, only to be killed off alongside Ironhide during Sentinel's betrayal

3rd is my favorite of the trilogy. But the 4th one thats my favorite I was 8 years old going to the theater to see that one and the villain was a fantastic entry to the franchise. I always never understand the hate for the 4th one except that Romeo and Juliet scene in the movie. DOTM is still the best one. This is when Bay retired most of his juvenile sense of humor, got rid of a bunch of his dumb stuff, and sat down and made a more serious if still authentically Michael Bay story. The Transformers actually start feeling more like characters in their own movie instead of just special effects. The action is really cool. I love that Bay raised the stakes by having a small team of humans and Autobots with limited reinforcements able to come help against a massive army of Decepticons. Sentinel is the best villain of the live action Bay films. Leonard Nimoy voiced him to perfection and it was a great choice to have this character as the big bad especially if you were familiar with him from the larger franchise. He was a menacing, and understandable threat. Killing Ironhide of all characters was a gut punch, and it’s a big flaw of the movie that nobody even mentions Ironhide after he dies. This was supposed to be the series finale of the films as Bay wanted to walk away after this one, but Paramount lured him back with a big paycheck and promise to fund a smaller personal project if he came back. It would’ve been nice to have a slightly longer ending to send off the series, because the movie ends two minutes after Sentinel and Megatron die, whereas 2007 at least had some exposition on what was going to happen now that the day was saved. But it’s still my favorite. Also, the 3D was better than Avatar, no lie.

8:45 to Optimus to Transformers can easily travel to other galaxies where for a human to travel to the moon takes a lot of science and guts to trust the engineers and scientists made a ship and equipment to protect your frail body in space. 23:34 cause Iron Hide is Optimus’s second in command and armorer. 25:07 this is one thing I didn’t like about the Bayverse. Why didn’t these Decepticons help Megatron. He knew they were there and he wasn’t planning on losing so dump Sentinel’s plan and do it himself. Continuity in this series was horrible. Each movie is great as a standalone. 29:03 notice how he warns Optimus that he’s under surveillance. “No other HUMAN will ever know”. Smart way to sneak it by the decepticon watch. 41:01 my brother saw this before I took my daughter and when I saw this scene I was ready to strangle him for not warning me that Bumblebee was going to die. He’s my daughter’s favorite transformer and man that would’ve been a mess for us. 42:13 he’s strong but more of a scientist than a warrior in the G1 series. 45:56 For the 40th anniversary of Transformer they showed the first four episodes of the original series in theaters. The first episode they brought back the surviving voice actors and added voice actors from other Transformers series to fill in and played the first episode with a split screen showing the actors doing the lines without all the electronic assistance they did to some of the voices. It was cool seeing Peter Cullen & Frank Welker (the one and only Optimus Prime and Megatron) do their voices along with the other characters they played. Then at the end they did an in memoriam for those that passed away and who they played.
