I would never be able to make a custom LPS or anything because my hands are so shakey, therefore I live through watching videos like this one here. That being said, here are some facts about Mr. Eyeballs before and after his transformation. I do not make the facts, I just share them. BEFORE 1. Mr. Eyeballs has a kill count higher than any other LPS by standing there...menacingly 2. Mr. Eyeballs was a serial dine and dasher 3. Mr. Eyeballs ate other LPS pets without any regard for their lives AFTER 1. Mr. Eyeballs can and will make cute arts and crafts projects with you 2. Mr. Eyeballs uses his wings to shade other LPS pets from the hot sun and to cool them off when it gets too hot 3. Mr. Eyeballs spends his days floating around on lily pads and not paying his taxes The moral of the story is that anger and violent impulses are stored in the imbalance of designs

I know this is a slightly old video for youtube standards by now, but I wanted to offer a little tip from the world of doll customizing. When you are trying to reapply the head, try warming the plastic of the head up with a hairdryer (as long as the paint and clay you use allow for the heat of course). On dolls at least, heating the heads makes them a little more flexible and soft, which helps a lot for removing and attaching heads while avoiding damaging your paintjobs and the doll/figure itself. You can also use boiling water, but a hairdryer is better if your project can't handle being put in water and also less risk of burning yourself I guess XD Hope it works with the LPS too!

This looks awesome! As someone who paints and messes with models, I'd suggest sculpting first and then putting on a primer/base coat of paint. The clay usually bonds to the paint rather than the face and can fall off easily. Also, use a bit of rough sandpaper on spots that you want the part to adhere to, since the smooth texture of LPS's tend to have the clay easily fall off too. Not only does this all help with adhering, but it saves time and supplies :) Hope this helps! Love your content!

ok first of all this is really cute. Second of all i'm not surprised. here is a little frog fact: Poison dart frogs are not naturally poisonous. The poison comes from poisonous bugs that they eat. So In zoos they are not actually poisonous. Ooh and a little story I just remembered: at my old house we had tons of baby frogs that would come out of our pond, and some of them would go under this rocking chair(outside). But that chair was also our cats favorite. So whenever she got on or off the back of the chair would squash the poor things.

As a huge childhood fan of LPS, I was a bit hesitant of this video when I first saw it in my recommended, as I watch doll customization and the methods can be quite... Brutal to say the least LOL! But my curiosity got the better of me, and you absolutely won me over with your sense of humour over this, orbis frog HAHA! I'm not sure why they decided that peanut monument was the way to go! I will admit, the shaving of Mr. Eyeballs' mouth gifted me a small package of cringe snd heartwrench, but it was more than worth it after you finished. I died of cuteness when I saw fairy princess Mr. Eyeballs' finished makeover. I would've loved an LPS like that as a kid! The only thing I wish is that you wouldn't have glued down the wings, but only cus I think it would be fun to be able to rotate them and pose them as desired. I think you did a wonderful job on this! This was the most unexpected transformation I’ve ever seen! Great job 👏 Here are some frog facts: There are so many different ways frogs protect their eggs before they hatch! Aside from the usual egg “bed” many species use, the gastric brooding frog in Australia swallows her eggs, and the babies hop out of her mouth once they’re ready, the marsupial frog raises her offspring in a pouch (hence the naming), the Suriname toad in South America carries her children inside the skin of her back, and they can be seen inside the pockets several days before they actually hatch, and of the Darwin frogs, the males are the ones who swallow the eggs of their mate and stores them in his vocal sac!

I’ve got a short story about my experience with frogs! 🐸 One of my first encounters with them was at a cottage. I’d found one on a log while getting ready for a swim, he was so wee little, and for whatever reason, I named him Rupert. This was when I was pretty young, and I’m much older now haha. Calling frogs Rupert has stuck all these years for some reason, and I’ve even gotten many of my family members to call them that too! P.S. your “Rupert” is adorable! Really love those eyes and the new smile was such a great choice❤ I’m really pleased with how you chose a realistic colour pallet for him too! The wings are a nice settle touch to the otherwise more realistic design, great job!

interesting fact about me and frogs is that I used to use it as an insult to myself on the way I looked. I had self image issues and one of the things I would call myself is a frog, due to my big eyes and big round head. I used to really take this as an insult and hated frogs because of it since I thought they were just as ugly as me. but once the pandemic happened and frogs went viral on tiktok, people would always post frog videos and comment on how cute and beautiful they are. They would mention how their big buggy eyes were one of the cutest things about them. After seeing countless videos like those, it really boosted my self esteem, that even tho I have big eyes and a round chubby face, it is beautiful. Now frogs have become one of my obsessions and I collect the Build-a-Bear frogs and virtually any frog plush I see lol! Your custom was amazing and I hope you continue working on such amazing art!!!

Trust the process !! It turned out rly adorable ! Although it’s a little rough and there’s definitely room for improvement, I love that you’re sharing your process of learning and your techniques ☺️ it’s really nice seeing people not being quite pro at something yet and the way they develop and evolve their art ! You’ve really inspired me to try stuff out ! 🐸 I would suggest, although it would take longer, to take your time with the sculpting. Wait for it to properly dry or set it somehow, then go in w the smoothing and filling it in. Also it might look smoother if you remove the black paint before you start painting w the final colours. Some techniques I’ve learnt from professional doll makers is using Mr. Super clear to set your colours in between layers. So that would be between the each layer of green and beige and then after the eyes. They also usually use pastels for smoother gradients and some extra blush and details w acrylic maybe and you can set in between layers to ensure you won’t ruin your previous work :) I think also waiting for everything to properly set might help w the anxiety of ruining things/breaking sculpting etc. :) I hope that’s helpful and I can’t wait to see your progress !

I think Mr.Eyeballs came out very cute and charming! Although, I do have a mild concern- did you seal the rest of the body with a non water-based sealant? (assuming your pants are acrylic) ie. Liquitex (it has matte and gloss varieties). Acrylic can be so delicate on something like an LPS... or any toy, really- so I worry what would happen if he is unsealed and fell from a shelf, or if the new owner tried to pose him and the legs scratched away the paint as they had initially. Additionally, this is more just an art tip I've picked up from here and there- lightly sanding the surface of a toy/figure to make it appear more matte and very faintly rough to the touch is a great way to help paints stick to a surface that is otherwise very smooth. I do think the posable wings were simple but effective, and the mouth came out so much cuter than you feel- but often in art you're your own harshest critic, as an artist myself I fully relate. Regardless, I love Mr.Eyeballs! He came out soft and I think he conveys that natural vibe you're looking for

I really love these thoughtful comments! I sealed this custom in Mr Super Clear off camera though I have had a few comments mentioning worry about the lack of sealant so I’ll make sure to film it next time! You should invest in Mr. Super Clear if you can there's also matte version if you don't want it to shine but it seals in your work/paint so that it won't crack. If you want to be able to attach doll heads and such without worry of clays/epoxy/molds breaking you should paint the body first, let it dry (spray to seal both these next parts with super clear ofc) then paint the bottom of the head and reattach so the body and head underside are done and you can do the faceup without worry of damage or break. I've seen many doll customization videos and these kinds of these are no exception. Hopefully in the future you'll see this message and it can give you a bit of a break so you don't have heart fear moments when reattaching heads! Your frog is so cute and I love the decisions you went with making it! The brown in the eyes made me hold my breath because I knew it would look so cute. Awesome job chica! 💚 =3

Its been a while since i’ve checked on the LPS fandom, so i’m glad this video popped up. I’m also interested in art and maybe a little on customization. I’ll be happy to watch your videos for a while.

Frogs Various types of frog Scientific classification Edit this classification Domain: Eukaryota Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Chordata Class: Amphibia Clade: Salientia Order: Anura Duméril, 1806 (as Anoures) Subgroups See text Native distribution of frogs (in green) Variegated golden frog (Mantella baroni) in the Ranomafana National Park of Madagascar A frog is any member of a diverse and largely carnivorous group of short-bodied, tailless amphibians composing the order Anura[1] (coming from the Ancient Greek ἀνούρα, literally 'without tail'). The oldest fossil "proto-frog" Triadobatrachus is known from the Early Triassic of Madagascar, but molecular clock dating suggests their split from other amphibians may extend further back to the Permian, 265 million years ago. Frogs are widely distributed, ranging from the tropics to subarctic regions, but the greatest concentration of species diversity is in tropical rainforest. Frogs account for around 88% of extant amphibian species. They are also one of the five most diverse vertebrate orders. Warty frog species tend to be called toads, but the distinction between frogs and toads is informal, not from taxonomy or evolutionary history. An adult frog has a stout body, protruding eyes, anteriorly-attached tongue, limbs folded underneath, and no tail (the tail of tailed frogs is an extension of the male cloaca). Frogs have glandular skin, with secretions ranging from distasteful to toxic. Their skin varies in colour from well-camouflaged dappled brown, grey and green to vivid patterns of bright red or yellow and black to show toxicity and ward off predators. Adult frogs live in fresh water and on dry land; some species are adapted for living underground or in trees. And yes I copied this from Wikipedia
