My ex wife sounded just like this guys wife. I was the VP in my 3 PC patch MC. We went on a lot of runs with our 1% MC that we supported. My ex had always had a thing for bikers and that life. I have been riding most of my life and hadn't owned a bike in years. I bought a brand new Harley and eventually founded a support club and basically lived the life. It was a roller coaster with my ex. One day it was the coolest thing ever and the next it was stupid and she wanted no part of it. It was a 28 year relationship that should have never been. Being in a club will put any marriage to the test.

Several years ago while leading an Italian bike day ride through the SoCal back country - on a twisty stretch of road I came around a blind sweeper to find a group like this group scattered everywhere across the road. Mayhem. Probably 10 in my group, one a freshly retired EMT Fire Captain who ALWAYS carries a professional level life saving kit in a tank bag and who immediately went into triage mode while the rest set about directing traffic etc. Turns out some of the riders in the wreck group were 1% types we later found out and started yelling at and threatening us to get the f' away from them. A few guys were hurt pretty badly, one transported later by helicopter but we hung out despite the threats and helped till the first responders arrived. Apparently according to drivers who witnessed the wreck, the leader on a right sweeper drifted across the center line into on coming traffic and lead the front front group into head on collisions with several oncoming cars. A bike went under a pickup and completely tore the front end off the truck. A lot of blood and compound fractures and those a holes had the f'n gall to threaten those attempting to help. One guy tho did thank us as we were leaving. I assume they were under the influence or something and why they didn't want us near them or their bikes. The end crash in this vid reminds me of the kind of bad ride habits and arrogance that likely caused the crash I saw.

Reminds me of a group that several of us came on at Bike Week 30 years ago. I had to fight off this guy's old lady as I was trying to do CPR on him and keep her from killing him. Some big guy from their group peeled me off of him and I told him, "Is that your buddy down there? If you want him to live, keep that b**h off me and him and I'll try to save him, but you let her back, she will kill him." A doctor showed up and I turned him over to her. Cops showed up and got in the way, right where we planned for the ambulance, so I had to chase them off to direct traffic. Finally an ambulance showed up and they transported him. No idea the results.

I was riding with my best friend and he fell went into a coma and died. I thought I would ride twice as much for him. Everytime I got on my bike I couldn't shake the fear off. Sold my bike and will only ride Dirt bikes now. I still have my classic cars still however. With age comes a cage for me. There is no helmet law in Colorado. Which is cool but I always wear full gear even if it is 100 degrees out. LOVE from Colorado.

Been legally riding on pavement 55 years. First bike was a 50cc Harley Davidson, and current mule is an old school bobber, Flyrite frame, springer front end, with Harley 1200 Evo pusher.
