I know that Bonten arc was really horrifying, especially how it ended but I still prefer a Mikey who is in control of his actions despite how bad they are, instead of "manila" Mikey who killed off all the Toman founders due to manipulation. I don't know whether trying to get to Mikey in the Bonten arc was worth everyone's happy lives there, but I prefer a future where everyone got the ending they chose for themselves and not from the expense of another. I hope Takemichi realizes in the current arc how Bonten was Mikey's ultimate sacrifice for the people he loves, that he would keep the underworld of Japan in his hand while making sure that every single person he cared about got the dream that they wanted.

On a deeper note, beyond saving people Takemichi is time travelling. When we first meet him he barely remembers the past. When he jumps back it’s solidified as he can barely remember events that occurred. So who is Takemichi in the middle? When his in the past of when his in the future. This is stated by Hina when she notices Takamichi isn’t the “same” when his jumps back to the future Takamichi.

With the new chapters, I can see takamichi just jumping to the start where he meets Hina n kisaki, and starting over letting everyone live without him but being like Mikey more closed off trying to keep the balance letting no one die.
