IMO, Stolas has NOT made it clear to Blitzo that he (Stolas) wants more than a physical relationship. Every single time they are together, Stolas makes comments putting Blitzo and other imps down, making very aggressive flirtations in public, and technically harassing Blitzo over the phone (pilot). The most telling was last episode: First, in Blitzo's bad trip, we see Blitzo is attracted to and captivated by Stolas, but he is still a "prisoner" of their deal for control of the book. Then, Stolas comes to save Blitzo, calling him his "impish little plaything," patronizes him in asking if he is alright, then angrily implies that he is only there to stop IMPs from exposing Hell/demons. "If YOU get in trouble, then I get in trouble. WE don't want that!" He finally pushes for "repayment" in the form of sex. Their relationship has a foundation of sex as payment for use of Stolas' grimoire. They are toxic towards each other and selfishly use each other for their own gains. However, it is apparent to fans that they have developed genuine feelings for each other that neither has been able to effectively communicate. This is exactly the reason why their relationship is compelling. The power imbalance between them and their failures in communication play out in a way that is ultimately somewhat tragic, if very believable, making it difficult for their real feelings to come across effectively. This is really good character writing

1 part that threw me for a loop. I was so angry at blitz for messing up with stolas. But when Ozzie calls out stolas. Stolas hides his face and blitz sees that and the whole mood changes after stolas is ashamed.

@@kate_tyler_cosplay Actually, the part about Tilly being his sister has probably been retconned since the pilot episode where she was first seen given that her design has changed quite a bit. So she probably is his mother now. Though I guess we'll have to wait and see if he show confirms it either way.

@@kate_tyler_cosplay She was originally his older sister, but the unfiltered pic I saw on Twitter made it more obvious that they were holding a card that said 'Happy Birthday Mama' so I think she's their mom now!

Actually he does, but as they're small white dots most of the time, they're not easily seen unless it's very close-up to his face, and when he's angry at the end of episode 6 when he's having a go at Blitzo, where they widen out into larger white pupils.

The last shot of Stolas was him realizing that he screwed up everything for him self over some sexual urges because he never opened up to Stella in the bedroom.

I don't think Stolas and Stella ever had anything at all. I'm in the camp that assumes they were an arraigned marriage. I think the last shots of Stolas was more him realizing that he finally found something that actually inspired passion in his life, but because he's oblivious to anyone else around him and just passively accepts his position in life and hasn't ever had to examine his privilege he doesn't have the tools to engage blitz honestly and feels like he's letting it slip through his fingers. It's easy to blame Stolas, but it seems like he doesn't have the experience or emotional understanding to do better.

@@LowbrowDeluxe do you think that he could also be in the middle of a mid-life crisis? The family portrait on his wall says they were happy, but the bedroom fire died out. Blitz was fresh out of a relationship with a succubus, so you know has skills in bed, and that was the trigger.
