Since you asked about lore, some continuity sticklers thought there was an error in showing Moxxie as having grown up in the Greed Ring when he was previously said to be from the Wrath Ring. Turns out, shortly after the episode was released, Viv tweeted that _Mama_ Moxxie is from Wrath and was back in Wrath when she gave birth to Moxxie before Crimson moved the family back to Greed. Given that Moxxie cut all ties with his family after meeting Blitzo, and both his amazing wife and wonderful mother are from Wrath, I say it’s not unreasonable for him to just decide to claim Wrath as his true heritage rather than acknowledge his awful past life in Greed. So there’s that!

That was some episode. I totally want to believe that the S2 finale is gonna have all the enemies IMP has made for the past two seasons to all try to kill them and they all end up having a melee battle.

It's come up a bunch, but it's almost certain that the imp in the boat wasn't Moxxie's mom. Even though the horns were cut off, we can see the base, and they have a thick white coloration. This is a trait only seen in male imps, as the females all have black horns with thin white stripes. It's highly likely that Crimson did kill, or had someone kill, her earlier. Also, you've got to love that the title of the massacre song is "CRASHIN' A MUTHAF*CKIN' WEDDING" and is playing on WRATH'S #1 "F*UCK YOU UP" HITS station. One other bit during the fight might help to explain why we don't see the imps using firearms in hell as often as melee weapons, as we see Millie literally deflect a bullet with her foot. We know firearms can kill imps, but apparently they're quite a bit more resilient.

Still, the implications (no pun intended) of Moxxie being forced to kill his own mom are heart-wrenching. Crimson surely messed with his psyche a lot.

after watching this episode I am convinced that Crimson has dethroned Stella in being evil. Also I think the only way that boat scene would have hurt more was if it was Moxxie's own mom that Crimson made him throw overboard. Thankfully it wasn't, but it's still a gut punch to know that Crimson killed her.

Ya seems like moxx might of met mill during a visit in warth ring for stuff? Like we know mill is from wrath hmm I think moxx mentioned he is also born their? So Maybe the dad build up his mafia family enough to moved into greed? Did hoped for a punch or something from moxx to his dad but like a threat is also kind of nice.

I thought the episode was really good but I was really hoping for Millie’s backstory with Chaz or something but the Millie massacre sort of makes up for it. But besides that part the episode was probably my favorite of the season 👍👍

Its a running... weirdness i have with this show. Moxxie tends to get all the character and development moments, while Millie gets the big set piece fights and badassery. And like... its a great dynamic, but i feel like they need to throw Millie a bone once and a while like they do with the handful of Moxxie fight scenes. Just to keep it from feeling like Moxxie is a main character and Millie is midground. (That said, yeah. This episode was fantastic.)

On twitter this episode's writer said we'll see Millie's backstory with Chaz at some point in the future. though honestly, I'm unsure on how they could even make it relevant in a future episode (maybe a millie backstory episode akin to The Circus?).
